I hope they continue to make ocean shades because I love using it for my projects! I finger knit, and this is buttery smooth in my hands when Im working with it. The Bernat Blanket yarn is my absolute favorite for finger knitting, and my boys, who also finger knit, love it for all of their projects too. Those who have received our projects love the softness and warmth!

Super soft and comfortable yarn. The only problem I ran into is it shed a bit but not to bad. All around super great and I’m excited to see how it holds up over the rest of time

Making a yip yip character basket (sesame street) as a gift for a friend. Needed a specific color and this was perfect! True to photo in listing. (Pattern from Carissaknits.com on ravelry.)

Great for blankets. It washes really well and it’s so soft!! Don’t buy for more than $10 a skein though, it’s not worth THAT much! *Yarn pictured is same blanket yarn, just a different color way.

The value is in the bulk size, 1 skein is approximately equal to 3 at a lower price. I made a puffy stick baby blanket as a baby gift, it used almost 2 full skeins, and it is ultra soft. The little ball in the picture is all that is left. The blanket measures approximately 34 inches by 34 inches.

This yarn is thick and fluffy. I used the color Harvest and it works up with a bit of a retro look - 70s vibe. It calls for a L crochet hook. I only had an M - it was fine. One of the balls was tangled close to the end. I worked with it for a while. Ended up cutting it off. I really needed more yarn, but Amazon limited me to only 3 balls, so my mom’s blanket was much smaller than I had planned. 4-5 would’ve been ideal. Id like to add a photo, but Im not getting the option.

This Bernat baby yarn is nice and soft. I ordered the vanilla color and it matches the advertised picture. Some other reviews mention lots of knots or joints, but I only found one joining knot in a whole skein. It works great as a baby yarn, and I like that it is machine washable. This yarn is exactly the thickness I was looking for- about as fat around as the shaft of a wooden pencil. 10/10 would recommend!

I ordered many colors for my Rainbow Pride blankets, and I have not been disappointed! I love bernat blanket yarn and some of these colors have been discontinued from retailers shelves so I was very excited to see it here for affordable prices!

I am relearning to knit after not doing it for over 20 years. I wanted to make an easy, soft, chunky blanket my family could snuggle under. I used the Bernat Cushy Garter Blanket pattern and size U.S. 19 (15mm) circular knitting needles at 36” long. I made the mistake of buying circular needles that weren’t long enough and had to stop and buy new ones which was frustrating. I doubled the yarn up using two strands at the same time which made this blanket even thicker. I purchased six balls of this and used almost all of it. Of the six balls, one ball had several breaks that were re-tied together which wasn’t a big deal to me but I could see with a more intricate stitch the break and knot would be super visible. The color I used had more cream to it than I anticipated but it still turned out mostly grey which was my goal. Also, due to how thick this yarn was and the fact that I doubled it up my mistakes were easily hidden and nearly unnoticeable unless you really look for them. The blanket is heavy, warm, and SO SOFT so thanks to this yarn. This yarn is perfect for beginners who want to get the hang of it and knit up a blanket rather quickly. I have requests to make a couple more of these blankets for my family and can’t wait to make another blanket with this yarn.

Luxuriously soft and cozy, Bernat Blanket is a chenille-style yarn that’s perfect for home décor projects. From blankets, to crochet baskets, Blanket is ideal for a wide range of projects. It’s super bulky weight stitches up quickly, making it a great choice for afghans and blankets. Available in a new range of bright shades to compliment your home décor. Coveniently machine washable and dryable.
