> 3 dayIve used & tried many protein powders over the years. Im one of those people with an extremely sensitive gut and havent been able to digest more than 60% of the products that Ive tried. The reason being all the additives, artificial sweeteners, sugars and other loads of artificially processed chemicals/products to enhance the taste or the nutrition value. To make matters worse, whey is being derived out of nutritionally enhanced & processed milk with use of GMOs and load of other garbage. What all this is doing to the health people is probably beyond the scope of this discussion. Im a fairly experienced body-builder following a pretty strict diet regimen and lift weights 5 days a week. I dont believe in putting a bunch of chemicals in my body for muscle growth and have long term side-effects like ED, stomach issues, balding etc. Ive been an off & on vegetarian too which called for a need for protein supplement. Ive been using Biochem whey for about 2 years now and I go through about 2-3 cans every month. Here are some of the areas where this product stands out from others in its league: -Natural whey (when they say it, they mean it), free of any growth hormones -No added sugars & fat free, so no extra carbs which means you only get what you need -No artificial flavors, chemicals or any garbage that is not meant for ingestion by human body -Natural flavor (what I use) is almost tasteless, so it makes a great protein additive without altering the taste of the beverage in pretty much anything - smoothies, yogurt, milk, almond milk.. -One of the easily mixing protein powders that Ive used Some of the downsides of the product: -People who are used to bottled protein supplements like muscle milk which is loaded with sugars and other stuff and associate those tastes/sugars with protein shakes may not like the taste on this one because it practically doesnt have a taste -Its one of the more expensive protein powders (per oz) Overall Im very happy with the results Ive gotten. There is no supplement that will replace a good balanced diet, healthy eating habits and nutrition from natural products like fruits, vegetables, poultry, fish etc. If you are looking to get bigger or repair your worked out muscles or just need a protein supplement (on top of your good balanced diet) to meet your daily protein intake, this is a great product!

Greater than one weekGenerally protein isolate powders taste far superior to other forms of whey protein, this being a prime example. Great to get nearly pure protein (minimal other macros) + no lactose! Mixing with water - Creamy chocolate flavor with a coconut aftertaste, very pleasant but a bit thin [7.5/10] Mixing with 2% lactose free milk - Incredibly creamy and lush chocolate milk with coconut aftertaste, like candy. [9/10] Mixing with plain greek yogurt (1g:8g to 1g:10g ratio) - Chocolate-Coconut Custard! Tastes like ice cream while being practically pure protein. Balanced in whey and casein, perfect for bodybuilders. [10/10]

> 3 dayI like to drink sugar free protein drinks and came across this sugar free protein powder last year. It has a good chocolate taste and you can add other things like almond extract or berries and make a tasty protein drink. Sometimes we just blend it in a blender bottle and sometimes add crushed ice for a smoothie. There is no clumping as long as you mix well. Im happy with the chocolate, vanilla and coconut sugar free version of this protein powder.

> 3 dayThis product is pretty amazing! It was recommended to me by my sister-who is diabetic- but is very active and fit (her nutritionist told her it was the best choice of whey protein)!! It does not disappoint.. 20g of protein and only 120-ish cal. I think your body wont process more than 20-ish gr. of protein per sitting anyway. I am taking because I am trying to get in shape- joined the gym, eating more healthy bla bla. I wanted to lose the weight I had put on during the holidays, and my trainer recommended increasing my protein intake. Although eating more fish/chicken is ideal, I am a FT college student and work PT time so my schedule is hectic needless to say. But now, I just make a big shake in the morning and take it with me when I know I wont have time to eat a proper lunch. Its tasty and I get my protein.. WIN WIN..Although it really doesnt taste bad with just plain water, I recommend mixing it with some skim milk and fruit for added taste and nutrition (I have choc. fudge flavor). Actually, the best shake with this is: 1cup milk, 1tbsp of peanut butter, 1/2 banana, 1 serving [choc. fudge] powder and blend! MMMMmmmamazing. Lastly, spoon and cup doesnt work too well, BUT you DONT need a blender in order to mix it thoroughly, as long as you can shake it in something with a lid (water bottle). GET IT!! GET IT!!

> 3 dayI want to give it 3.5 stars but cant. My intentions on buying this product was not to build muscle mass, Im not especially a heavy lifter and not looking to bulk up. I wanted something I could use after running, swimming, and lifting to help muscle recovery. I picked the 28 oz natural flavor of this brand because, from the research I had done, it had one of the lowest sugar/carbs and fat/cholesterol per serving. It also doesnt have any artificial sweeteners (stevia, sweet and low, etc.) So Ive been taking this after lifting, and also after running to help my legs recover more quickly. Ive been using it for about a month and a half and so far here is what I have noticed. RECOVERY - To be 100% honest, I do not see any different in recovery time between when I do and do not drink the formula after working out, or if I do its generally pretty negligible. MUSCLE BUILDING - Ive actually been working out because I want to lose about 15 lbs and get back in shape, I wasnt intending on bulking up but I have noticed that generally my muscles are getting bigger overall (which also means even though Im losing fat, Im not losing as much weight.) MIXING - I got the neutral flavor which has only a slight vanilla flavor, and is not particularly sweet, so it mixes well with fat free milk or even orange juice. Generally I did experience some of the clumping that other people have also, but this only occurs when you try to mix too much powder with too little liquid. I usually use a 1/2 to 3/4 scoop with about 10 ounces of milk or juice. Most of the time there is more clumping when mix with a spoon, but when I use a chopstick it occurs to less degree and less often. SIDE EFFECT(?) - The contain says that there is no Phenylalanine or Tryptophan naturally or artificially. I do get boost of energy for the rest of the day after using it, but that is most likely due to the workout. Every single time I have used this, the next morning I feel unusually tired and will sleep 1-1.5 hours longer than I normally would (even if I go to bed early). Dont know if anyone else has experienced this. In sum, if you are looking for something to build lean muscle on, I think this is a good product. In terms of workout recovery I am a little disappointed with how it has been working. I also would like to know if anyone else has experienced fatigue after using this powder if thats just me. I havent decided if I would buy it again when I finish this one.

> 3 dayThis is one of the very best tasting protein powders I’ve tried. I don’t notice an aftertaste with the stevia, and it blends really well. I’ve tried both the sugar free and the regular vanilla and both are great, I really can’t tell a difference.

> 3 dayI purchased this whey protein with two main motives: First, to add quick protein into my diet to stave off hypoglycemic crashes. Second, to pack on muscle as Ive begun lifting weights in earnest. My first motivation seems to have been met. After drinking some of this whey protein I feel a bit more alert and seem to be able to handle sweets better. Im still unsure if its a placebo effect however. My second motivation also seems to have been met. Since consistently drinking one serving a day (usually during a workout) I have noticed steady muscle growth at a rate that is higher than before I was taking in more fast uptake proteins like this whey. Of course, I take in good muscle-growing proteins in other forms as well, but this whey protein is an essential part of my muscle-building protein diet. Usage Tips: 1) This stuff does not mix well with a spoon. It takes a heavyweight beating to get it to mix and even then there are clumps stuck to the spoon and side of the glass. Try putting it in a blender or using an emulsifier. 2) This natural flavor whey doesnt taste bad, but doesnt taste good either. I put it in milk which makes it palatable, but still a little funny tasting. I usually just chug it down to get it over with when Im drinking it plain. 3) Keeping 1 and 2 in mind, I recommend mixing a serving of this whey with a serving of some other powdered drink. In my case, I use malt flavored ovaltine. Put the two powders together in a glass and then thoroughly mix them before pouring in your liquid (milk is my favorite). It keeps the whey from clumping and also gives it a great taste. The whey flavor, which by itself is a bit unpleasant, actually enhances the flavor of the malt ovaltine and vice-versa. However, chocolate ovaltine is not such a good combo, in my opinion. One more thing of note: the calories are as rock bottom as science allows. By nature one gram of protein has 4 calories and one serving of this whey protein is 20 grams of protein with 80 calories. Do the math... thats as lean as you can get. All in all, this is a great product and you cant beat the price for the amount you get.
