    I think these bulbs are my first foray into LED Land. I purchased them for the fixture over my bathroom sink. There are times (e.g. first thing in the morning!) when you might not want the light to be quite so revealing.... These are not bright white, but I am returning in favor of the softer Philips Eco-vantage 29W that I have used for a long time now (but are getting harder to find).

    I just tried these and the flickering was pronounced. It was noticeable even at full power, but especially bad when dimmed. Im not sure why these bulbs are so highly rated.

What are Lumens and Kelvins?

Lumens are a measurement of how much light is generated – or brightness – each lumen emits approximately the same amount of light as one candle.

Kelvin represents the "color" of the light.
