> 3 dayI love how this cleans the carpet. The key is to clean in small sections and go over a few times so get all the water up. The main thing I don’t like is even with vacuuming this cleaner will pick up a lot of extra hair which is great except it doesn’t have a place to dispense it so it just gets stuck in the brushes so I’m constantly stopping and pulling fur out. As far as how it cleans I love it. I wish it had upholstery attachments

> 3 dayNeeded a carpet shampooer in general but especially because I have two cats and one is very picky about his litter box and it doesnt take much for him to decide to use the living room carpet instead. Looking through different models to find a decent budget one that wasnt too expensive I found this one and saw many good reviews. I decided to check if there were any used units available to save some more money and ordered one listed as used in good condition with cosmetic blemishes. When I got it in it turned out to be brand new. Everything was still wrapped and bagged, and neither water tank had any trace of ever being used nor had any odors. So the verdict? It cleans well but I have three minor quibbles with it. The first is the position of the power switch. Its on the back and almost at the bottom. This requires you to either bend down to the floor or lift it high enough to access it. Its not very heavy but still a bit awkward and I wouldve preferred a switch near the top or on the handle somewhere. The second thing concerns spraying solution. Commonly with upright shampooers youll start by moving it back and forth over the carpet while leaning it backwards at an angle with the head up off the surface and locked so you can spray cleaning solution as a presoak where needed. Then once the required amount of time has passed for the dirt and soils to have loosened and started dissolving you put it back down and shampoo like normal. With this machine however doing this will waste a good amount of the cleaning solution as it immediately sucks what looks like half of it back up. Im guessing either the suction is that strong, the spray nozzle is too close to the intake, or both. The third thing is minor and barely warrants mentioning but its still something I wish were different. The waste water tank is held down by clamps on either side. Youll have to bend all the way over and reach nearly to the bottom on both sides to snap them open. This isnt difficult and they snap open/closed easily but having used a different brand in the past where the waste water tank simply slid up and out, I wish it were more like that. I docked only one star for all of this. Its still a nice budget machine and Im satisfied with it.

> 3 dayI was skeptical about a small carpet cleaner such as this. Totally changed my tune once I used it. I live in an apartment but this was perfect. I had to do small areas, let dry, move furniture and repeat. This sucks a ton of water back out, so drying time was minimal. I completed my entire two bedroom apartment in one day. Yes, you have to refill the cleaning solution/water thank several times, as well as dump the waste tank. But that worked fine for me. The disgusting gunk this got out of my carpet was horrifying and amazing. Carpet looks like new again!

> 3 dayLove this machine! I didn’t realize how dirty my rug was until I cleaned it with this machine! I have 2 big dogs and vacuum daily and this is how clean it got it! Very easy to use the machine and very easy to clean the parts afterwards. Does a great job pulling the water back out too! It is a smaller machine and lite so it does not hold a huge amount of solution or dirty water.

> 3 dayMy dog threw up dark brown food on the floor yesterday and left dark stains on the carpet so I needed something quick as my $170 hoover broke after 6 months! Smfh the Bissell worked GREAT!!! And even though its smaller than the hoover I prefer it. Easier to use all around and fits in spaces the hoover couldnt. You will have to stop and go more frequently bc its smaller but the results are worth it. Completely removed the stains but thats not what this review is about. I closed on my house back in June 2022 and we had gray carpet...over time it started to look beige to me...so after spot cleaning my dogs vomit I noticed it was extremely light in that spot...so I was like wth? Did this solution possibly bleach my carpet? I decided to do a larger area and realized my carpet was restored BACK to the original grey we had when we first moved in. It had just gotten THAT dirty smh. I have an untouched room in my house (havent decided what to do with it yet) so the carpet is still brand new, thats the third pic. Compare that pic to the other 2 pics where I did a clean. Im about to order more pro max clean+protect solution!!! I noticed 1 con though, if you let the machine just sit on the carpet while running without pushing it back and forth it will try to dig into the carpet so dont do that as theres a chance it could rip your carpet. Update: puppy just threw up ...see before and after pics :) I cant believe I came back to this review to update it to show yall how good this thing works. Again, GET THIS NOW!!!

Greater than one weekFirstly, for context I just got this carpet cleaner today and used it for ~3 hours. If I have any issues with it in the future I’ll update. Right now, I’m super happy! I was in the market for a carpet cleaner to clean our nasty rental carpets and to have on hand for pet messes. I poured over the reviews for all the sub-$130 machines on Amazon and this one seemed to have the most positive ones. The machine is very easy to put together and use. You snap the handle together, snap in the dirty water tank, fill and snap in the clean water tank, and you’re ready to start cleaning. If you’re looking for something to clean smaller areas, like rugs or pet accidents, this machine is ideal. I have a small-ish apartment and using it over my whole living room was time consuming and took a LOT of water changes (especially because the carpet was gross), but doable. If I had a large house worth of carpet I would’ve wanted a bigger machine. But for my situation I’m okay with spending more time for less money. If you’re willing to spend more to save time and/or you’re wanting to cover a large area, look elsewhere. Pros: * Very lightweight and compact. * Easy to assemble and use. * Good suction. Cleaned out old stains in my carpet with just a few passes. It pulls most of the water out so your carpets get cleaner and you’re not left with soaking wet floors. * Separate tanks for dirty and clean water. Dirty tank is much bigger so there’s room for suds. Cons: * Small tanks. You run out of clean water and/or need to empty very frequently. It took me about 30 mins to do one pass of a 10x10 foot area, for which I needed to empty the tanks probably 3-4 times. * Small width, so it doesn’t cover very much surface area with each pass of the machine. This also means you spend more time to cover the same area. * The brush is cylindrical and spins like a regular vacuum brush. I was actually surprised at how much staining it got out, but for very dirty or ground in stains you would probably need to pre treat and scrub by hand to loosen them up before using this machine. * No attachments, like you’d use to clean furniture or car seats. Tips for using: * Vacuum VERY WELL with a regular vacuum before using this machine. If you have pets and fluffier carpet, I recommend getting some type of carpet brush to pick up embedded fur. * To use this you fill the clean water tank with hot water plus whatever cleaner you want to use (there is a mark on the water tank for each), then hold down the trigger in the handle to dispense the clean water and let go to suck it back up. * The directions recommend going forward and back with the trigger held, then forward and back with it released. I recommend going forward/back with the trigger held once, then repeat without it held until the carpet feels reasonably dry. The reviews that complained of sopping wet carpets were probably either holding the trigger down for too many passes, or not going back over enough times to suck up water. * GO SLOWLY. Especially as you are pulling the machine back toward yourself. If you go too fast it won’t have enough time to suck water back up. * Use hot water. The directions say 60C/140F. I used very hot tap water. * A little soap goes a long way. IMO just a splash of soap is enough, this was enough to pull up a lot of foam (and dirt) out of my carpets. Just plain water will pull out dirt too. * Do a pass with soap over the whole room, then go back with only water in the tank to get the soap back out. Repeat till water runs clear. * Some reviews complained that the dirty tank leaked. It won’t if you pull it straight up and out of the cleaner and then hold it upright until you empty it. If you turn it upside down then flip back upright it will leak a little out the bottom. Also, make sure that it’s properly attached when you click it back in. * If your carpets are really gnarly like mine, expect to spend a lot of time on them (maybe even a multi-day project as you complete individual rooms). I did 4 passes over the room and was still getting dirty water coming up. If I used an industrial strength machine I probably could’ve done less passes, but I’m willing to spend more time since I saved some money buying this machine. Overall, I think this is a really good purchase IF you know what to expect. Is this a professional level machine with tons of power and a huge water tank? Definitely not. Can you get a professional level clean with this? Maybe, but it’s going to take quite a while. If you want to save yourself some money but have the time to spend, and not a huge amount of area to cover, this little machine is a good option. Carpet cleaner rental near me is $60 a pop, not including attachments or soap. I was willing to spend a little more to just buy this even though I knew it would probably take me longer, the convenience of being able to use it whenever I want is worth it to me.

> 3 dayThe last time i bought a carpet cleaner was maybe 20 years ago. I feel like there must have been some advances in the technology because this cleaner was lighter, faster, and so much better than my older one (even when it was new) I finished my living room and hall in maybe an hour and a half where as before it’d take me half a day. Carpet also dried in just a few hours. Its been a few weeks and my living room carpet still looks great. I’m very impressed!

> 3 dayThis little, light weight carpet cleaner is amazing! Its small, compact, super easy to clean but does a wonderful job at cleaning. By the time I was finished with my area rug it was mostly dry. The suction and scrub power was great! I highly recommend!

> 3 dayLightweight. Covers come off brushes easily so you can clean out pet hair and junk so it doesnt just get trapped in there until you have to buy another one. Very easy to use.
