I loved this little thing. It is powerful suction and did a great job cleaning my carpets. One drawback is that you have to fill and empty the tank multiple times for one room but it really gets the dirt and grime out!

This has no bells or whistles and I didnt have high hopes when I opened the package and saw how small and flimsy it looked. But I was pleasantly surprised with the results! Ive only used it 1 time, so I dont know how long it will last, but it did a pretty good job getting all the dirt out of the 1 area rug I have. The cleaning solution that came with it worked great with no residue left behind!

The product works really good. It is somewhat small compared to my previous carpet cleaner, but overall it gets the job done. Because of its size it does have to be refilled multiple times but that is if you are doing a large carpet. I had time so it didn’t bother me at all. Like I said it did its job perfectly. 10/10 recommend!! Ps: make sure to empty out the dirty water once it reaches the full line because it will start spitting out the dirty water onto the carpet. I was distracted in cleaning the carpet that I wasn’t paying attention to that! Oops

    Greater than one week

I live in an apartment and have a old dog that doesnt always make it outside. Wanted something light weight and easy to use. Just as I hoped for.

I love how this cleans the carpet. The key is to clean in small sections and go over a few times so get all the water up. The main thing I don’t like is even with vacuuming this cleaner will pick up a lot of extra hair which is great except it doesn’t have a place to dispense it so it just gets stuck in the brushes so I’m constantly stopping and pulling fur out. As far as how it cleans I love it. I wish it had upholstery attachments

Between cats, dogs, and kids, my carpets are constantly disgusting. I had been renting or borrowing a carpet cleaner every couple of months prior to this, but we finally bit the bullet and bought our own. The photos attached are in my son’s bedroom - I believe it’s soda stains. Well, not anymore at least. Pros: it’s got huge tanks. For one bedroom I had to dump twice and refill once, and had tons left over in the tank after that 2nd refill. It’s heavy duty - you can definitely tell that it’s getting the carpets clean, because there’s intense suction. You feel it when you pull it backward. Plus, I mean, the nozzle attachment. Haven’t used it yet but it’s next on my list. Cons: it’s heavy. Heavier than the rental vacuum in a way. That may be because of the suction this sucker has, but it’s a bit harder to maneuver than some I’ve used in the past. It’s also loud - I know they’re not meant to be quiet, but it lets out a high pitch at a frequency that tickles my brain in a not-fun way. Highly recommend headphones when using it. If you’re looking for a carpet cleaner, this one is excellent for the value.

I received this last week. I have cleaned 3 carpets so far. I have a handheld spot cleaner and a very large sanitaire machine that holds 6 gallons of water. This machine is so easy to use. In a weird sort of way, its almost fun to use. Its great for traffic areas that take a beating. Other reviewers mentioned the small tank size. For me, it wasnt a problem. At least the water stays hot while I am cleaning the carpet. If the suction stops working, it means the float has popped up and the machine will not suck up any more water. You need to empty the tank. You can hear the change in the sound of the machine when that happens. Also, make sure the top gray cap is pushed in all the way. Some people said they need two hands to push the machine because the handle doesnt move back. There is a lever to step on so you can pivot the handle back just like an upright vacuum. For the people that have leaks, make sure the ring around the float is not cross-threaded or loose and the cap on the clean water tank is screwed on properly and snug. Of course make sure you have connected both tanks to the machine properly. I snap down both handles on the dirty water tank at the same time when I put it back on the machine. Some tips: * Make sure you thoroughly vacuum first. Really. * Use very hot water from your tap. Dont boil water and use it. There is a max of 140 degrees listed on the clean water tank. * Use the smallest bit of carpet soap. Dont use laundry or dish soap. Add white vinegar to the clean water tank too. * If you have really dirty areas, you can use the machine without the dirty water tank in place. That way you can get a fair amount of cleaning solution into the carpet. Then attach the dirty water tank and suck it up. Dont get the carpet too wet. * After you are done, put only hot water (no soap) in the clean water tank and go over the carpet again. Leftover carpet soap residue attracts dirt. * To extract as much water as you can from the carpet, lean over the machine, loop your hand under the handle on the dirty water tank and push the machine while pressing it into the carpet. * Set up a box fan on high until you are sure the rug is dry. Dig your fingers into the carpet fibers to check. * After you are done cleaning, open the side gray cap and dump the dirty water. Unscrew the ring from the float assembly and clean the float too. Put the float and ring back together. Leave the side gray cap open. * I put the cap from the clean tank inside the cleaned out dirty water tank. Unscrew the ring on the float assembly so you can put the cap inside. I put a paper towel under the clean water tank and slid it back on the grooves so it can air dry. * Take the machine to your sink without the tanks. I was amazed how much cat hair and grit there was stuck underneath. Give the underneath a good spray and check the red rubber bar next to the rotating brush. * I put it up on two wood blocks so the bottom can dry. * Pet stains are a two part cleaning project. Theres the stain and theres the odor. For the odor, you need a pet enzyme cleaner. Follow the directions on the bottle. Your pet may go back in the same place again if you dont remove the odor. Their noses are lower to the carpet and better at detecting odors than ours so get down after the carpet is dry and give it a good sniff. *** Buy this machine. Your carpets are dirtier than you think***

Was worried this vacuum would be bulky as sometimes these can be but this one is a great size and works really well! Spilled coffee on my rug a while ago and the Bissell cleaned it up well. Would definitely recommend. Super easy to assemble and use.

Used a non rotating carpet cleaner that constantly leaked, even after replacing seals and other parts. This unit is easy to assemble and operate. There have been no leaks after multiple uses (about 15 times). The rotating brush is perfect for extracting pet hair and other debris.

Carpet Cleaner Bissel Model 2987 - Unless you are cleaning the whole rug, get this small model which is easier to handle and easier to clean. It seems to do as good a job as a larger one I used until it broke. Natures Miracle Oxy formula is the best carpet solution I have found. Go over the area several times slowly to let the brushes clean the carpet. Turn on a fan to dry the carpet. Lots of fun in the middle of the night!
