I like the screen. The quality is good

I did change the broken screen. It was not as easy as it seemed. Final result: not that perfect fit.

This is a mixture of liked and dislike, if you know what your doing this would be a easy replacement. We bought it for a friend who needed to replace his IPad screen. He knew what he was doing, there is a major thing you need to know when purchasing this screen, if you use the Touch ID for password I would suggest paying someone to fix it, or pay Apple to fix it. I know the inconvenience of some issues. But if you don’t do it right you can have issues with the motherboard or the circuit board on the motherboard. The reason I say this because if you damage the littlest part you are screwed. There is a piece on the board that works the fingerprint option. The issue with this is if you buy the motherboard or piece to soder the missing piece. When checking we notice the fingerprint has a chip that connects with the screen to work. So if you mess it up then you have to take it to a professional. Other than that it was perfect condition. So, i would suggest getting the complete kit so you have that piece if you need to as a just in case. But if you don’t use the fingerprint reader you good to go, but like those you need to have the fingerprint option i would go a different route.

I was able to replace my cracked screen for about 40$ instead of the 250$ a repair shop was going to charge me.

You can visually see the digitizer grid making the rest of the products quality and experience not really relevant. If you can accept the horrible quality digitizer, the rest of the product and the kit that it comes with it is of expected quality. The tape that is used is a very low quality tape compared to Apples low surface energy tape that is required for a proper install. The thickness is off making the screen never fully settle into place after install and over time sinks under the lip of the aluminum housing. *** Warning to buyer*** With all this said, if you are not a seasoned professional with fixing these types of issues you are going to hate this experience and not know the deal-breaking repercussions of very minor mistakes (which you may not even notice you are making). ***Note to seller*** Please skip the tools and invest that money in making a better digitizer!!

I am so disappointed and frustrated with this product. I got the broken screen off, but the tools they provide are WORTHLESS. I needed a razor blade, which matters when you think you have everything and start messing with it. Then the screwdrivers provided did not work. In the middle of the repair I had to leave and go to Ace Hardware and spend $20 on a cell phone repair kit to get a 00philips and 000 Phillips that actually work. The first set of screws to remove the LCD was hard enough to remove with the provided screwdriver. However, when attempting to take off the LCD plate screws with the other screwdriver provided, it wouldnt catch the screw at all. Its like it didnt fit into the screw. I tried the other screw driver, nope. I asked others in the home to confirm I wasnt just being dumb. The screwdrivers dont work. So in the middle of the repair I had to go buy new ones in a kit for an extra $20. Then, when putting the new screen/digitizer on, I noticed that almost the entire screen was a dead zone. The bottom works and thats it. I took it to an Ipad repair shop to confirm I didnt do it wrong. I didnt. The screen is defective. Also, when installing my own home button the pre glued adhesive on the screen wasnt even strong enough to hold down the cable (the super tiny cable that is like paper thin and weighs nothing) to the new screen. If the glass adhesive couldnt hold down the home button cable it most certainly wouldnt have stayed glued to the tablet base. All around terrible product. I returned everything. Dont buy a screen from here. That was so frustrating and disheartening. I got as far as completion and I cant complete it. Wow.

Easy, price and they give you all the tools you need. Don’t break your screen but if you do it’s a great alternative to a repair shop.

The screen is a perfect fit and provides the proper connections. It contains the digitizer (see video showing its operation prior to full assembly). It does not include a home button, but if you want to retain fingerprint capabilities, you need to use your existing home button. This worked very well for me and I will buy this again if needed.
