BLACK+DECKER Level Tool (BDSL10), Red & Black, 36-Inch

I bought the 36 Accu-Mark level for both my husband and FIL for Christmas. both loved the concept and Im sure it would be a great product if it were actually leveled. We started using it for a big project 2 weeks ago (replacing kitchen cabinets) and noticed that it wasnt in agreement with our other shorter (12) level. Hubby put it on one side, it said that it wasnt level bubble on the left, flipped it over and it still wasnt level but the bubble was on the right. Theres no obvious curving, rocking or other damage indicators.We borrowed another 36 level from a neighbor to check it out as well. FIL has only used his to hang pictures but hes going to check his out over the weekend. Oh, and Black & Decker is difficult to get a hold of (phone only - no email) so their 2 year warranty might be up before we can actually talk to someone about this problem (I have the 800 number but I dont have time to sit on hold for more than 20 minutes at a time).

Really would have liked to get to use it, it seemed nice. It arrived filthy, and the sliders only move a few inches in each direction.

As advertised. Simple to use, but I would make it a bit easier to mark the pin holes for picture frames. Most things I hang dont need massive nails around the house but you will need about a two inch nail to mark through the pin holes.

As an art installer, I use often use levels all day every day. I love the features like the gecko grip that hold the level firmly against the wall. The problem is that these levels are not accurate. Its therefore a pointless and useless tool. All the features in the world are useless if the level is not level!!

I bought this level for my husband, he is so happy. He was looking for one of this in many retail store, but nobody carry it but amazon.com. It’s very useful long enough to do any project.

I was renovating my home a bit and had to mount a lot of picture frames. Without this one,, itd been difficult. There are several out there.. but for the price and the quality... This was the best !!!!!!!!!!!!

As a single woman I use this all the time and it makes decorating so much easier.
