> 3 dayDear parent, you are reading this review, so you most likely are in a different boat than what you may have expected when you first welcomed your bundle of joy into your life. To overshare the appreciation we have for this product and its very accurate name, we have a child on the spectrum. Elopement is a description of a trait some of individuals on the Autism spectrum possess which can cause them to run off at any time, any place, in any direction in what has to be the most dangerous way possible to the childs well being. With zero exaggeration, this causes nightmares and grey hair to any parent trying so hard to catch their child who is running into the street in front of an approaching vehicle. Even with careful planning and doing everything possible to keep your child safe, there is always a very real risk that a simple trip to the grocery store is going to end badly. This harness is miracle of reassurance. Its easily large enough to accommodate a child in the 45-50 lb range. Everyones hands are still free to pick things up, practice holding hands in public, or give the child a small bit of freedom to choose to walk next to you without feeling physically forced. Will this harness prevent all problems? No. The elopement is still there, but what it does buy in a chance to snag a child back, closer to you, and/or use your own weight to stop them when they are overtaken a literal flight of fancy. The only complaint I could say is that its very easy for the child to perhaps figure out the locking mechanism and how the keys work in it. However, the keys are attached on the parent wrist side, so unless you have a master pickpocket worthy of being in the cast of Oliver, you should be ok. A personal tip I have for those living in cold climates is to put the harness on under the childs coat so they cant wriggle out of it, and then run the strap through a sleeve or similar. Do not feel shame when people give you the why are you walking your child like a dog? facial expression. You are saving your loved ones (and probably yourself) from a very traumatic trip to the emergency room, and theres nothing wrong with that. Just be careful not to get yourself hilariously caught on a street sign. Also, given that the design looks more serious and less cute animal, people tend to subconsciously accept it as medically necessary and less unreasonable fashion choice. Overall, five stars. Makes trips to the store less terrifying. And the blue is a nice color.

> 3 dayThis!!! Buy it. Right now. Every single parent should have this. I dont care. I have a 2 year old who loves to get down out of the buggy and walk around independently. This gives parents peace of mind and some freedom to browse the shelves/clothing rack either at grocery store or mall, etc. with your little attached to you, they cant run off and theres no fear of someone grabbing them. Even seeing this device I would think would ward off child abductors because you can see its clearly attached to the parents wrist! Theres no fear that they will unhook it because its extremely durable plus it comes with a plastic key which is only accessable on your wristband that you wear. This is freaking genius!!!!!!

> 3 dayLittle miss independent doesnt always want to hold out hand when we go out for walks- this lets her have the freedom to walk around on her own but still not be free enough to just wander away. Dont let the people who freak out about the idea of putting a leash on your kid discourage you, it works great and they love it. She knows that she can walk around almost on her own while wearing this, and actually goes to get it and bring it to us when she wants to go for a walk. She is so proud of herself for being able to click it on. Its also very nice when your kid decides theyre tired of walking and wants to get picked up because it makes it really nice to hold on to them while theyre up on your shoulders; you dont need to use two hands and can just hold on to the harness with one.

> 3 dayMy baby loves running around with it on but she hates when someone is attached to the other end. So it’s safe to say it’s definitely durable enough to handle a rogue toddler trying to escape

> 3 dayWe originally were using a wrist tether for our autistic child, but it was bothersome that it took away the freedom of her arm/hand. Switching to this harness tether was the best thing ever. We have been using this for a long time now and we never leave home without it. It gives her total mobility and is very comfortable. She cannot remove it by herself or slip out of it. Its very durable and sturdy - she runs sometimes quite fast but it holds tight and does not break or snap or come undone. And I love that its very easy to unsnap at the back so if we are, for instance, at the park, I can unsnap her from my wrist so she can go play on the equipment while still wearing the harness, and then if we start to go walking again we can reattach the tether with a snap. We do remove the harness in the vehicle because its not going to be comfortable to lean back against it while sitting down in the car seat. I recommend this all the time to anyone I know who has a child who runs/elopes. Great for indoors and outdoors.

> 3 dayeasy to put on and snap, it works great to keep toddler close to you, but easyto twist up around your wrist. I dont think the locking feature is to easy to use. My grandson loves the fact that it is padded and comfortable to wear.

> 3 dayMy 5 year old granddaughter, aka Princess Tornado, likes to do the Houdini thing in crowds such as theme parks, etc. She is the size of an average 6 year old. This fits her fine and she actually doesnt mind it and prefers it to the enclosed wrist band. Its very sturdy. My daughter LOVES the key that is attached to the parent wrist band. This set up will allow my daughter and son in law to go places with the escape artist!

> 3 dayI have a 2 year old and a 5 month old. Normally when we go out I push my baby in the stroller and have my toddler walking next to me. He is very curious and likes to wander around or dart to the next thing. It scares me to death so I started look at leashes. I hate that word when related to a kid so we call it his safety harness. I absolutely love this thing! I love all the different locks on it and that it comes with a wrist option. My toddler loves the harness and that he gets more freedom. I love that I can attach it to the stroller and have peace of mind while shopping. His hands are free and he loves that. If youre looking for something to keep your little one safe and close...this is it!
