Greater than one weekNice umbrella, just wish it was a little bit bigger. I can’t say how long it will last but it seems like it is made very well. My last umbrella was kind of expensive and this one is made better and is cheaper. Of course I can’t fit it back into the little Bad after using it. It’s like trying to fold a fitted sheet or a tent and putting it back in its packaging lol

> 3 dayI bought this because I worked in a building with a wind tunnel near the back entrance. Every other umbrella I’d ever used there tore up on me except this one. It works with strong wind, it’s sturdy, durable and I love it. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayIve had auto-open umbrellas for years; wouldnt have any other. But Ive been increasingly unhappy with the manual close. When you get in the car, trying to stay dry while you reach up to close the umbrella is hard. And then the umbrella drips over everything as you try to place it in the passenger footwell. This works well. BUT! Beware when you press the close button, it is an instantaneous SNAP close! I wasnt prepared for that the first time and it really surprised me. When you press the close button, it snaps into a folded shape (a triple fold for each vane, so it gets very small). Then you have to press the handle back to its short length. Its easy to do that without getting water in your lap or on your car seats because the water is contained in the folds. Good umbrella with adequate coverage and (so far) reliable operation.

> 3 dayIm writing this review because Im back her to by a second one. No the first one is not broken, Ive had it for a year and its in mint condition. So, I have a chronic medical condition that requires me to avoid direct sun exposure, and take multiple medication to treat it that put me at increased risk of cancers and say to avoid direct sun exposure. I bring this up here so that you can understand that I have used the heck out of this product. Every day, summer sun or winter rains, week long backpacking trips or in the city. Its embarrassing, at church events, at concerts going into and out of professional business settings people give you looks. This umbrella pops up and pops down when you go in and out doors, and it has restored a seance of my dignity because its cool. Is it wind proof? 9 days of back country backpacking in the deserts of Death Valley when the wind rolls across the valley (you can hear it coming like a train), when it hits your tent and rips it down but the umbrella takes the hit and stays fit. Yes the wind can sucker punch this umbrella and it shrugs it off. I trust this umbrella and am back for seconds. When someone gives me an odd side look getting it out on a sunny day, I dont feel shame and try to explain anymore, I give em a smile and one handed with my toddler in arm, I press the button and pop it up (or better pop it closed) and Bam its cool. (Also its supper flat in design, so it stays out of the way/easy to share with others.)
