Brush Research FLEX-HONE Cylinder Hone, GB Series, Silicon Carbide Abrasive, 4-1/8 (105 mm) Diameter, 240 Grit Size

Being a hobbyist rebuilder I am very happy with the results of this hone. Makes up for a mulittude of errors on my behalf in skill. I have a Lisle rigid hone and that works really well for the rough work but this made the final a finish factory finish. Seated perfectly

Did a quick hone of the cylinder walls while refreshing the engine over the winter, Bore size on my motor was 4.030

only did one chevy - about 15 pumps with 240 grit (best all round). Coat the bore AND all balls with atf and a brush before use - clean SUPER well till a white clean paper towel shows no grime - Cross hatch pattern was unbelievable - and this was my first time. I wouldnt look anywhere else, drop the dough and do the job right!

I made sure to order the correct size. I modified the end by grinding off the nub so I could get closer to the pistons. It worked excellent. The stones are quality, I sprayed with WD-40 and it made quick work of it leaving a beautiful cross hatch pattern deglasing perfectly.

Used to clean surface rust from the inside of the stick cylinder on a case 580c. The rust was light so I needed a home that would not cut in to much and leave the bore rough. I used a 240 grit 4-1/8” diameter hone. The finish was not that rough but I probably should have moved up to the 320 grit.

dont have a lot of experience with honing, so nothing really to compare it to. there is a technique to get the right cross hatch pattern. just used it to clean up the cylinder wall when installing new rings. have to move it quickly depending on the drill speed, but it left a really nice pattern and cleaned it up really nice. its quite aggresive so it only takes a few seconds. be careful

Chucked it up in my drill, steady speed & motion, perfect results. Happy camper.

put a real good crosshatch on my 4.00 inch cylinder wall. could not be happier.
