did what i wanted. i use constant water vice oil for honing since i want to get rid of the what im scraping off. this was a little big for my little guy (1989 CIVIC HATCH) but it worked perfectly. and it doesnt look like it is worn out so its not one time use. unless you are trying to take off alot of material.

dont have a lot of experience with honing, so nothing really to compare it to. there is a technique to get the right cross hatch pattern. just used it to clean up the cylinder wall when installing new rings. have to move it quickly depending on the drill speed, but it left a really nice pattern and cleaned it up really nice. its quite aggresive so it only takes a few seconds. be careful

It worked well for my SBC. I thought it should last longer than 1 V8 engine honing. Maybe its not supposed to, I dont know when I was done I noticed the dingle balls were smoothe.

I bought this for my 1997 SeaDoo Speedster engine repair. I originally honed it with this but then found out I needed to get the cylinder bored over for other reasons. I took it into the machine shop and the machinist was in awe how amazing the cylinder looked he was wondering why I was even there. The cross hatch this tool leaves is second to none. This is a must have for anyone who regularly works on engines, but keep in mind these are fitted for specific size bores. If you just need one for a different size bore every time on new engines you work on, it might not be cost effective for you. For me, I would rather accumulate a whole set...so its all good for me.

I didnt expect it to show up so quickly. I ordered it last Thursday and its at my door on Monday. The 2 day thing has fallen apart since the plan demic. These folks did me well. I wonder if they have big buckets of time to work on my projects for sale? Id buy 2 if I could. Thank you!

Got a Chevy 6.0 from a buddy of mine for free, used this hone to deglaze the cylinders. Seem to work awesome on a 4 inch bore with the 240 grit hone. Not sure why I ever wasted time with a 3-stone style hone. The dingleball hone worked way better.

put a real good crosshatch on my 4.00 inch cylinder wall. could not be happier.
