Greater than one weekUpdate 7/30/2018: I continue to use this shampoo / body wash, and love it, but it does (if I am showering without my contact lenses in) now sting a little - my guess is that the formula has changed slightly. As this product is now all over, every supermarket, every big box store, I should imagine they may have compromised and changed ingredients, due to the enormous volumes they need to produce. No issues with my skin, and the brief eyeball sensitivity is barely worth mentioning, but not stinging at all is no longer true. So I am lobbing off one star.. Update 7/23/2017: Up to five stars, this stuff works for me (and that is, where skin is concerned, always very personal). Itchiness is significantly reduced, none on the legs at all, amazingly, and the wash is concentrated enough that you dont need to use a lot, experiment with smaller amounts than you were used to using. I am well pleased. Original Review: Because of ongoing skin sensitivity that two doctors gave me different opinions on (wouldnt you know, the dermatologists instructions did not work for sh...) Ive been trying to eliminate all irritants, from artificial fibers in clothing and linen to unnecessary chemicals in cleaning agents, allergen- and fragrance free detergents, you name it. Ive reduced the number of skin degreasing agents I use, as well, as I understand from the net skin oils have protective functions, and removing them completely every day may not be a good thing. At some point, I switched to

Greater than one weekWorks great on my babys sensitive skin. Cleared up her baby acne. Gentle on the eyes. Dont use it every day. Bathing should only be done at maximum every other day on a baby, they need oils in their skin.

> 3 dayVery thin and watery. Not a great lather for my child as a wash. Would not use as a shampoo. Possible irritants in ingredient list. It was on sale but would not repurchase.

Greater than one weekThis product is one of my all time favorites! I use this both on myself but more importantly its used on my 5 month old baby. Some of my friends have expressed their opinions on how strongly scented this product is however I beg to differ. They also feel that the product may be too harsh for a babys skin and again I differ on this opinion. Besides its well worth noting that for any and all commercial baby wash products one may deem unfit due to the harshness of it, my suggestion is for all moms out there to invest in those cheap foaming soap dispensers. I use them all time for my own homemade face wash. But I also use them along with all baby wash products. I simply add a quarter or less of the product and top the rest off with purified water. Sometimes a tablespoon of a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, or coconut oil helps by offering a bit more moisture to the product. I personally use this method because it holds a practical purpose and use.

Greater than one weekMy son has very sensitive skin so we have stuck to using more natural baby soaps. We first tried Burt’s Bees because it was readily available locally. I love the scent and it does not bother my son’s skin at all while still cleaning well. The price is a bit rough so I started trying whatever natural brand was on sale. Even though Burt’s Bees is only “95% natural ingredients” my son did so much better on it. Every other natural brand we’ve tried has made my son break out in eczema, even the eczema specific ones. After much comparing on brands I found that all but Burt’s Bees contain chamomile. Whether it’s just that Burt’s Bees is better for sensitive skin or there’s a link to the chamomile, I don’t know. All I know is we are a Burt’s Bees baby soap family for life (even if our youngest isn’t even a baby anymore).
