Don’t you just wish cars came with tie down straps under the hood? They don’t, but if you order these you’ll be in good shape! Love having them installed on each of my cars so I can just flip them out when I need them!

My one line description says it all.

These tie downs attached nicely to hardware under the hood. Since the hardware was recessed a bit, the extra length of these tie downs was just enough to avoid hood contact when hooks were connected. They tuck nicely in place when not in use and after several uses weve seen no wear on the hood and no engine heat damage to the straps.

So far holds a tandom kayak with no problem. Love how discreet it is when not in use.

Rivets are a little weak, one bent a little bit but still gets the job done. Next redesign maybe use heavier rivets and sew in an extra piece of reinforcing fabric that comes in inch past the metal so when the loop is pulled, all the tension isn’t placed directly onto the rivet.

Ive been making my own tie downs for years. Got a new car, needed new tie downs. Bingo no hassle getting these on Amazon. I like the grommets. Usually I would just make my own holes and leave it at that.
