> 3 dayI have only used this a couple of times but it has worked great so far. I recommend having another length in case you need a longer run and an orange one to use to clean out the sewer lines and accessories as you would not want to use your fresh water hose for that and it would be easy to identify.

> 3 day2 year review: Ive used this hose for filling my RV water tank and hooking up the city connection in parks. I got the 25ft version but wish I had bought the 35 or 50 as in most situations this one is just long enough but sometimes too short to fill. The host itself has held up fantastically. No kinks, no holes, the connections still look like the day I bought it. The only thing I didnt like is the strain relief springs dont stay on the ends.

> 3 dayThis house is not anti kink or even kink resistant as advertised. As a matter of fact it is worse than its cheaper white one of the same brand. I did not return it as I need more that one hose a some parks we go to. To sume it up, buy the cheaper white hose and save some bucks.

Greater than one weekFew (UPDATES)... Bought both, The HD Valterra 5/8 hose on first impression wins this one... a noticeably better product, all-round, with full flow through fittings match hose ID, my concern. (UPDATE: the brass or alloy male connection end is of a quite soft thin pressed out brass type metal. Caution dragging! I messed up my male end a little already, oops-). The HD Camco hose fitting connections are not full hose diameter. Both appear to be 1/2 ID restrictive fitting, but are machined sturdy and sharp cut threads. Many hose makers use restrictive fittings, and they are not desirable when long hose runs are necessary with multiple connections, at lower fresh water inlet pressures. Both the HD Camco and Valterra ends are attached well, but the machine sharp threads, and loose chrome plating flakes inside the Camco hose were not desirable, IMO. Also, IMO, machined sharp threading into other softer materials tend to cross thread, ie: plastic and other cast fittings. The HD Camco hose material does not feel or appear to match the 20% better claims as listed and on packaging. This Camco HD hose feels thin and the reinforcement appears almost as graphically embossed vs. the visible thread mesh inside the thicker feeling hose material of the Valterra HD hose. Both hoses are very stiff when cold. Camco hose felt like it would crack if forced. (UPDATE: the VT HD hose tends to take a set and kink quite easily in hot summer weather. Valterra HD hose coiling for storage during hot weather gets kinda weird. The HD Camco stiffer material hose may perform better in the summer heat.) Valterra HD hose packaging states a 10 year warranty, and feels like it will make it. The Camco HD hose... a limited 1 year package claim. IMO, the 5-6$ more for the Valterra 25 -5/8 hose is worth it, many of Val. products are. I exchanged my Camco hose for their dual axle wheel twist clamp stabilizer... its simple, light, and handy, but needs to be checked every few days while in use. Happy trails.

Greater than one weekThe hose fittings appear to be made of cheap “pot metal,” and are so thin and rounded off you can’t readily grasp them when tightening. Instead you must go get a wrench, which is rather inconvenient. The hose material seems ok, it’s just inferior hardware chosen by bean counters who ignore real users. If your application is a permanent installation, go for it, but the fittings are so thin you should not expect more than one season’s use before they corrode and fall apart. Camco, I expected more from you.

22-04-2025Aside from the strong and seemingly durable connectors, the most important aspect of this hose is that it adds no smell or taste to the water. Far better that the white hoses with a blue line.

> 3 dayIt did kink at first a couple of times. But we left it in the sun to get it more malleable and that took care of the issue.

26-04-2025Works but it is stiff and the memory of rolled up coil is hard to extend. Would recommend one of those expandable hoses over this.

> 3 dayNo issues out of box. No kinks. I have been on several outings now and the only mistake I have made was purchasing the 25 foot instead of the 50 foot hose. I just ordered the second hose.

> 3 dayokay i admit it. im in love with a water hose. i love the fact that every aspect of this hose is well thought out & intentional -- not someones afterthought or soul-less effort to add more confusion to the marketplace. this beautiful camco water hose is drinking water safe, the machined fittings do not wear or leak or leach lead into the water, its both light weight & strong, theres no residual plastic taste to the water, it doesnt kink after you lay it straight in the sun, the larger 5/8 diameter allows greater water volume, its inexpensive, and it comes in a beautiful royal blue. whats not to love? i mean, its like the perfect man -- uhm, except its a water hose.
