Thank you Canon for updating what is already a great EF 50mm lens with STM focusing system. the sharpness is what you would expect from the nifty fifty altho I must admit the focus was way off out of the box at list with my camera; I had to calibrate my 6D using the in camera focus adjustment and once I did that, the result was amazing.

Very, very happy with this lens! Does exactly what I was hoping for!

I have been using this lens on my Canon 7D for a few weeks now. It has performed very well. I can now shoot in low light situations without attaching flash or boosting my ISO to the point where noise is the picture. The kit I bought provided a UV filter which I have used exclusively. The other stuff is nice too.

Great for portraits and low light photos. The only downside is that if you’re using a cropped sensor it becomes a 95mm lens

Getting great pics with this lens

Ive had a Canon SL2 for about six months and ordered/received my Canon SL3 three days ago. I waited almost two weeks to receive my lens and added goodies (despite it being advertised as a Prime item and Amazon claiming itd be here in two days). All I received was the lens and lens cover. Whatever, Id highly anticipated using this lens so I decided to try it.

Got this for my 5d mark IV and I’ve used it for a few different shoots and love the quality!

Fantastic lens!

This is worth your money. Great for portrait photography and the hood is pretty effective. I have yet to try the filters but its a very nice bundle along with the lens.
