Packaged well and arrived in timely manor. Nothing broken when arrived. Very happy with all the extras that came with the lens. Sharp focus.

Update: I had 2 of these and the AF is definitely buggy. The AF would go blurry, and stay blurry, at random intervals, in any shooting environment. The photos I got from it were great, but I went with the 24-70mm f2.8L instead

Great lens works as expected

It really works so good and the quality is really good. Here are photos taken by the lens. Mind that these photos are unedited with no filters. These are taken by the lens itself with no edits. I honestly recommend this if you really want to take portrait photos and is on a certain budget. However, it depends on what type of lens you want to try out / are looking for but I highly recommend to try it out and see if its any of your liking. I really love this lens honestly. When putting or removing the lens, just know that because its a different lens/ different camera, it can be a little tight to put on or remove. Thats normal. Its a just a little something to take note of.

This lens consistently gives me WAY more fringing than my 85, and I feel like it also doesn’t focus quite as well. Still good value for the money but I’m probably going to find a different 50 that doesn’t require so much de fringing in post.

Everything I read about the “nifty 50” mm lenses was completely accurate after purchasing this one and trying it for myself. Canon is always quality and this (more-affordable) lens will not disappoint. It is a single size lens so it is most appropriate for portrait style photos and on-the-go shooting.

Awesome lens. Clear pictures

I really like this lens. Gives the blurred background vision. I havent really used any of the extra items that came with the lens but it was the same price of buying just the lens. Nice deal.
