Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 is STM

I love it

Excellent Canon refurbished lens that I continually keep on my camera body. Sharp as a tack with a moderate working distance so as not to be intrusive when shooting candid photos of people. Great addition to my bag of equipment. This is a pro-sumer lens, but the glass is excellent for the price point. Some people complain about the plastic mount but I dont find it to be a negative aspect of this product.

Having looked at several glowing reviews on UTube I decided to buy this lens. It was ordered mid day on Dec 22 and received mid day Dec 23 - amazing Amazon Prime delivery service, and in time for Christmas! Price was extremely good, at a saving of $140 off the retail value of $399. So far the lens appears to be exactly as advertised, and reviewed by other very satisfied purchasers. Great accessory for my new Rebel T5i. Merry Christmas to me!

Awesome telephoto lens for the price. Clear picture. Great zoom. Quiet STM.

Purchased as a gift.

I ended up returning it and got the 75-300 USM instead. I have a Rebel T3i, which doesnt support the STM features for video, so decided to wait and buy a nice STM with a bundle when I decide to upgrade my body in a year or two - the bundles save you a lot of money. I also think that the 75-300 focuses a bit faster than this STM.
