> 3 dayI have just replaced my original 55-250mm mk1 with this latest STM lens and I can tell you it s well worth the upgrade. First of all, the new STM lens resolves better even wide open. I can attest that it s almost as good as my other 100-400L lens in terms of image quality and I hardly can tell the difference from the images captured by the two. The STM lens itself has a plastic mount which is okay to me as it s not that heavy. I have been using my plasticy 55-250mm for many years until now and there was not a single worry from me on the lens mount. The new STM lens also has a non-rotational frontal element which can be important if you want to mount a CPL filter. Its STM motor is also a lot quieter and faster than the conventional AF motor of the old lens. Its build quality is no slough either. I think this is one of Canon s best value lenses for the price that you pay. I am very happy about my purchase. I no longer need to haul my heavy 100-400L for birding if I want to travel light without sacrificing image quality. Just go out and get it if you are still on the fence. This lens is 5 stars for me.

> 3 dayI wanted a telephoto lens, and this is a good lens for that; however camera shake that is associated with a lens at 250 really requires a tripod. This isnt a flaw in the lens, simply a fact of photography. I think, for what I love to shoot, I would have been better served getting the 24-105 and just eating the price. However, this lens is great if you enjoy nature photography, or landscapes. Ill keep it to have in my collection for when I feel the urge to photograph wildlife. Its very sharp for the price.

> 3 daypretty good, cheaper than bestbuy, hold the breath when open the shipping package... thank God it came as a original package. why I was so nervous is because we just bought a air fry cook ware prior. it came with greasy dirt and marks.

> 3 dayBought this lens to complement the 50mm lens that came with the camera. The lens seems to be fairly well made and has decent optics for the price. Im happy with the product and would recommend. It did take a rather long time to arrive once ordered. It was in fact delayed twice. That is, of course, an issue with the seller rather than the product itself.

Greater than one weekI dont know much about cameras but needed a longer lens to take photos of my son at his football games from the stands, this lens was perfect! My pictures turned out great! I have a Canon Rebel EOS T3. It was a good price for an entry level lens and perfect for what I needed it for. I just wish that it came with a sleeve to store it in when not in use. Guess I will have to buy one of those for it!
