My lense came with scratches. It is definitely not new . It looks more like an opened box item.i can see by the condition of the box lid and how many times it has been opened that it is about to tier down. I will return and re order. I hope this time I get a NEW ONE

I picked up a manufacturer refurbished 55-250mm IS STM lens for the EOS M3 on sale for $141.36 after tax and shipping. There were a few reasons for this: the 50mm/1.8 that I had was not officially supported by the M3, with super slow focusing. Its useful to have a longer lens, and the 250mm is equivalent to a 400mm lens. While the M3 system has a much smaller lens, the EF-M 55-200, not only does that lens cost more (more than 2X more), its also slower and has a shorter range.

Great Lens for the Price! With great zoom and auto stability and auto focus you too can be a fine photographer. The lens is easy to attach and can get you reasonably close to your subject. There are times when the normal portrait lens is more functional. Determine your photo prior to using the zoom lens.

My camera is a Canon Rebel T5i. I already had the 18-135mm version of this lens, and I have always been happy with it. I think the IS STM class is great not only for still photos, but also for video. They are quiet! I replaced a standard 55-300mm lens with this STM version that extends to 250mm instead of 300. I am very happy with the quality of photos taken with this lens as well.
