> 3 dayI purchased this printer at a different retailer. I have had this printer for over a month and so far I have no problems with it. I really like this printer. It prints quickly and I dont have to feed one paper at a time. The only thing I can say that I dont like about it is that it uses ink up pretty quickly.

> 3 dayI did not expect this printer to be this great because of the price. I did not think I would even use the scanner or copier but I have found many uses already. This is a well made printer and is easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayThis photo printer does a great job. Seriously. People are surprised when I tell them I printed it on my home printer. I can tell the difference, but I do have to agree that the quality is far superior to what I would expect from such an inexpensive printer. The ink absolutely DOES disappear quickly, and that is my one complaint. I love everything else about this printer!

Greater than one weekThe Canon MP480 is a good all-in-one. It scans really well, prints well, and is easy to use. My only gripe is that it sucks ink like an old pickup sucks gas. The Canons XL size cartridge lasted a shorter time than the refill size on my old printer did. If you get this printer, my recommendation is to use it to print things you absolutely have to have at home and forget about printing photos. Photos will drain the cartridge dry in nothing flat.

Greater than one weekI see that we have owned this since early March, 2009, nearly six years. We sell online and do a lot of printing. This printer has served us well. We actually own another. its a good thing... I had an error message just now. The Ink absorber is full. Who knew? I have researched the steps. It is kind of a dirty job. And the counter must be reset. The information is freely available online. The new part is only available from Canon. Here on Amazon they sell six models. I was unable to determine which one is for this machine. Here is a middle-priced one: http://www.amazon.com/Sparepart-Canon-ABSORBER-SHEET-QC1-0049-000/dp/B001U0AM0C/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423692732&sr=1-4&keywords=canon+ink+absorber It is $38 plus $35 to ship it... say WHAT? For a little sponge thing?? Oh, and one is $524: http://www.amazon.com/Sparepart-Canon-Waste-Absorber-QM1-0659-000/dp/B0077JQSXK/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423692732&sr=1-5&keywords=canon+ink+absorber They >cant< be serious. *Sigh.* Good thing we have another similar one that hasnt seen much use. We will switch them out.

> 3 dayI recently replaced my ink cartridge but Im having a problem. Every time I print many lines on the page appear with a black line running through them. Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone have a suggestion of how to fix this problem? Thanks, Shira

17-11-2024Overall, this is an incredible piece of technology for the price. Its an excellent scanner, and a *generally* very high quality printer and copier. The interface is adequate, if not incredibly convenient, and the ability to read directly from a variety of cards is very useful. There is only one weakness of this printer, and that is the fact that photographs can tend to streak towards the end of the print. This is pretty common with ink jet printers, and unfortunately this one is no different. Its only apparent in photographs with large areas of the same tone, and it doesnt always happen--its a function of random partial clogging of the jets--but you should be aware that youre not going to get the kind of quality out of this that youll get from having photos printed professionally. (In fact, its usually cheaper to do so.) However, for the occasionally instant gratification photo printing, you cant beat this printer and the price.

> 3 dayReceived the printer on time. Set up was easy and compatable with Windows Vista. The printer itself is slow starting on B&W & color copies.Scanning a item or picture is a little more challenging. The software could be more computer friendly for seniors. Overall very happy with printer and Amazon. Will continue to shop regularly....
