> 3 dayWe are watching our granddaughter who is now 15 months old. We have been worrying even before she walked about how to make the fireplace hearth as safe as possible. This product did the trick. It was so easy to install and blends into the brick hearth. I love that it is made from a nonflammable material which allows us to continue to use the fireplace. I would recommend this product.

> 3 dayWe used this item as a baby safety feature. It’s thick and cushy however all the pieces are single separate pieces that you size to your fireplace area. It is not one large piece as the picture shows. You can def see it’s seperate pieces once applied.

> 3 dayLittle hard to cut. Took some planning as we have odd shape. Once measured easy to install. Used glue gun to secure all angles.

Greater than one weekAs with most everyone else, I purchased this product to protect my toddler from cracking his head on our hearth. There were several other options available, but I ultimately chose this one for a few important reasons. - the foam is 3/4 thick, where as every other one is only 1/2 thick. - the center pieces are preformed into right angles, others are flat foam and you have to fold it over and hope the adhesive holds. The product came in today. Packaging was good and install was simple and easy. Adhesive was acceptable as this seems to be a very contended point, but our brick is painted which gives it an ideal surface to bond to. Your mileage will vary. The only issue I see is that the foam is actually a bit firmer than what Id think is ideal. I was expecting it to be like a foam stress ball, but its a much more dense foam. Pressing it into place to stick, the foam compresses by maybe half its thickness, and thats using my body weight. With a toddlers 3lbs head, I dont see this foam compressing much to absorb impact energy. Will definitely stop lacerations, but Id fully expect his head to bounce off like running into a plastic slide. Nonetheless, its well made, esthetically good looking, and Ill be happy its there instead of brick when he inevitably falls on it.
