> 3 dayThis game has the best of both worlds, it is easy to learn/teach. But is also good for gamers because it involves strategy.

> 3 dayEasy instructions to follow for first time player. I usually solo all of my games before I bring others to the table so it was nice that they included solo variant rules. Definitely a new favorite.

> 3 dayThis game is so much fun! It takes about 45 minutes for me and my husband to play one game. It’s easy to learn but it does take some thinking while playing. It’s our new favorite right now!

> 3 dayThis is a great game that offers so much variety everytime you play it. There are also a lot of suggestions for different goals to accomplish and different varieties of play. There is also a simpler playing style for younger kids or for those who just want a simpler game. It is also a great solo game. I have really enjoyed trying to accomplish the different achievements. I would recommend this game for anyone who loves games. I would recommend this as a great solo game.

> 3 dayThere is a reason this one has won awards. It is so easy to learn, has great replayability, and has great pieces. This one will get played a lot in my house.

Greater than one weekI thought from the reviews that we would love this game. I do appreciate the flexibility in ways it can be played, different challenges incorporated, etc…. But, this game just didn’t really grab any of us. We played it 2-3 times and then it ended up on a shelf. Unlike wingspan, isle of cats, and our younger child’s peaceable kingdom games we just haven’t been tempted to pull this one out again. Wish I had been able to try it before buying it. This one will go out to consignment before long.

> 3 dayFun game, creative mechanics, great design, relatable theme. Its a game anyone can pick up and learn, and the game design countless replayability built in. My only complaint has to do with the cards: they look as if printed by an inkjet printer begging for retirement.

> 3 dayThere is a family variant that allows our 6 year old to play and have fun. My husband and I really enjoy this one because it’s fun to play just the two of us or with 4 players.

> 3 dayThis is a great game for couples, families, and casual game nights—while being interesting enough for more serious gamers. It’s very easy to learn and you can scale up the complexity as needed for variety or different groups of gamers, using the different scoring goal cards provided Ed. My eight year old loves it, but so do my gaming group. This game is wonderful for anyone wanting a relaxing, beautiful, pleasant experience that is challenging enough to stay interesting but simple enough to let everyone chat. Who wouldn’t like it? It may not be as interesting to people who like hyper competitive, cutthroat games. You need to pay some attention to what other players do, but it’s really a point salad game; it’s about doing the best you can with what you are given. On the other hand, that makes it very replayable as there is no sure fire repeatable path to victory . It’s a game you can teach in under 10 minutes and play in under 40, with just about any gaming experience level.

> 3 dayI tried out the web app when this game was on Kickstarter. And it was just OK. I wasn’t so interested in it and have avoided buying this game. Even the components aren’t that amazing: there are 4 goal types for each animal, and only two art works. I wish they had commissioned Beth Sob to do artwork for each card. I hate repeat art. The wooden pieces are nice because they’re wooden. But the image printed on is blurry. UGH. Have you seen Meeplesource wooden tokens? Now THOSE are nice and are basically my standard. Fast forward: I want relaxing games that aren’t too long because I’m super stressed out. Solo mode is necessary and if my elderly parents can also play that’s a bigger plus. So this game checks all the boxes: it’s relaxing, it has a solo mode, it has a FAMILY VARIANT - I wish more games did this!, it’s relaxing and not too taxing on the brain, and it can play quickly (in solo mode). Solo mode is great: you basically split the tiles in half and play with one half. Then you can play again with the other half. The complex rules is how to use the pine cones and the “overpopulation” rule. I highly recommend this game for its solo mode and for people who want to play with people who can’t tolerate so many rules. It’s easy to understand especially the family variant.
