This biological media breaks down very easily. The media sheds drastically as you rinse it. If you squeeze it hard enough, pieces will break off. I recommend that you look into other biological media brands, such as BioHome, Eheim, and Fluval. I hope Marine Pure comes out with a better product, soon. Until then, this product gets one star.

These bio balls are no joke. They are a must for any reef enthusiest. I had a pretty severe cyano outbreak in my new tank and I feel that these helps a massive amount. It takes at least a few weeks before you notice they are working but when they do its like night and day. You can even have them propping up live rock in the tank they are easily hidden or can be used as drag plugs ! Amazing buy

MarinePure is now the only ceramic bio media I use. Bottomline: Its like upgrading your filters bio system with steroids.

Very good bio balls

This isnt the first time i grabbed these. Grabbed some from a fish store. I’m cycling my reef tank and needed something quick so i bought them online (even though theyre pricier in comparison to others) got it and the balls were cracking and dust were everywhere some were broken. I added about half of it in my tank, hopefully it doesnt crack and dust while in my tank.

Great stuff! Theres no way for me to know just how much more effective this media is than other types of ceramics but so far, my water quality has been top notch and all the levels have been very stable. I practice good maintenance schedules but I believe this product has helped me enough that Ill be placing it all my future tanks.
