Exactly what I needed, and don’t break if you use them a little roughly

I recently started embroidery again and chose these needles since all the previous reviews were positive. Theyre a good quality with no barbs on the tip. Ive been using them every day for the last week and have no complaints about their performance. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the needles are so difficult to pull out of the foam holding them inside the package. I nearly stabbed myself trying to pull one out.

I do crafts for a living. Im starting to have a lot of problems with my right hand and I need needles that will glide easily in and out of the fabric. Its really hard for me to have to push a needle that doesnt want to glide in.. Ive tried all kinds of needles that Ive found available at local stores, but needles seem to be made cheaper and cheaper (while costing more and more) and just are not very sharp.. I decided to look on amazon, because I trust other customers feedback about products. I ordered these based on its feedback, and Im so glad I did.. They come in a variety of sizes, are easy to thread and glide through the fabrics easily, which is so much easier on my wrist and hand.. I use craft velours, doe suedes, fleece, and every kind of cotton fabric you can think of, as well as embroider, and these work really, really well on everything Ive tried them on. They are long enough so theyre easy to control, but not too long... Just the right size.. Ill be ordering another pack because I use needles for so many things..

I love these Clover gold eye embroidery needles. Very smooth with no barbs, large oval eyes that are easier to thread. I tend to use the larger (#3) needles just because I am getting older and the eyes are larger. They are still small enough in diameter for all except my finest embroidery work. I also use them with yarn for my crewel work unless the yarn is extra thick. Then I have to go to

As soon as I opened the package, I turned my head skyward and shouted, NooOOooOOooO! I have no idea why, but I thought that these needles were TAPESTRY needles, i.e. big-eyed yarn ones for yarn, but theyre absolutely weeny. Probably not even big enough for woven embroidery floss. Looking now, I feel extremely foolish. It said specifically in the name that they were for embroidering, and I could have just paged through the reviews for a quicker revelation.... I mustve been in too much of a hurry to get the ends woven in on my crocheting. At least the needles were cheap. I can use them to fix buttonholes. If you are actually buying them for sewing thread, though, these look like a good choice. The needles are very streamlined (though that may just seem to me because Im sewing yarn) and seem well-made. So Im giving them three stars: the purchase was a brain fart for me, but may be a very wise one for you.

I love these needles for hand quilting. Still managed to break a few, but they’re very sharp and sturdier than others I have.

There are not a lot of online options for embroidery needles. Of this set of 16, only the center, largest 3-4 needles have large-enough eye-holes to easily accommodate up to 3 three floss threads for embroidery-- you might be able to squeeze them into a few of the mid-size needles, but absolutely forget about accommodating 6floss threads! The vast majority of this set are useless for anything other than 1 - 2 standard sewing threads-- they will not accommodate embroidery floss. The needles sharpness is just ok they are not as dull as needlepoint, they do have a decent point, but, for embroidery, they could be sharper and finer --especially at the point. I dont have better suggestions. Ive recently ordered some amazon brand but havent gotten to try them yet.

CLOVER-Embroidery or crewel needles have long eyes to take one or more threads of standard cotton or ribbon. Mainly used for either cotton or ribbon embroidery. Gold eye needles: 3/9. 16 needles included.
