> 3 dayWell worth the price. Performs well, cuts well, hogs through some heavy pitch 1 1/2 stock no problem. Keep it clean! I use an orange oil based de-greaser and it stays sharp.

> 3 dayI wanted to put smooth edges on oak stock that I was using to make red oak mission style chairs. The back legs are 1 1/2x 1 1/2, with a angle about half way. Several of the cross pieces have an arch cut. I made a template of 1/4 mdf. I cut the pieces on the band saw, cutting about 1/8 outside the lines. I got this two bearing CMT cutter, installed them in the 2hp router mounted in owner made router table. It is an awesome, serious, massive bit. The length handled the 1 1/2 stock plus the 1/4 template and took the saw blade marks out, leaving a smooth finish, no sanding needed. The two CMT bits I ordered came in a sturdy bit holder and a heavy clear plastic storage box. Once you get used to the large size, you should enjoy using these bits. They are well made, sharp carbide cutters, smooth ball bearings, the bottom bearing is removable, when one needs to make a over cut with hand held router. I am a hobbyist, not a pro, but for what I wanted, these bits suit me very well. I am looking forward to using them some more, they are fun to run.

> 3 daySturdy and smooth. Can easily remove the end bearing (with the right tool) if necessary.

> 3 dayIts a workhorse. Very easily slices through red oak with a 2 1/4hp table router. Worked through interior arch grain very well, it was pretty forgiving. Alot of the straight flush trim bits will grab the grain and destroy your piece if you go to far before flipping your template. I could get very very close and even go against some of the grain without any damage to the piece and any dangerous kick back.

> 3 dayThe bit made nice clean cuts. One thing I didn’t consider is that I thought the extra length compared to other bits was a plus, but the bit is so long that it can’t be lowered enough for the top bearing to ride on the template when cutting 3/4” stock using my Bosch router and Bosch router table.

> 3 dayThis is a large bit, so you need to reduce router speed when using it. The top and bottom bearings make it suitable for pattern following and/or edge trimming. Generally CMT makes excellent bits, so I expect this to last. I am retired and a DIY woodworker and I am in my shop pretty much every day, so my tools and bits are used frequently. Not a production shop, but not quite a weekend warrior either.

Greater than one weekExtremely better than ANY straight carbide bits. Compression is best if you can afford.

Greater than one weekI have only used this bit a few times to flush trim some trim around a odd shaped doorway and one of the bearings doesnt spin anymore.

> 3 dayI used this bit to cut ten 2x4s to match a multiple curved pattern. It worked great.
