> 3 dayI purchased this bit so I can do some major cleanup when rough cutting my lumber to get a smooth finish. The overall length of this router bit from top to bottom is 4-1/4. The full cutting blade length is 2. Diameter of the bit is 3/4 and 1/2 shank. Two bearings at both ends provide cleanup at any end depending on where you place the template. I purchased the smaller bit; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008L0MZ3Q sometime back in July 2016. I have absolutely no complain and will buy these bits again if and when needed.

Greater than one weekDoes everything we needed it to do. This seems to be a very sturdy bit. Worth every bit of money we spent.

> 3 dayNice bit. Im using it with a template to route large curves. I route downhill on each side by flipping the piece over and using the template on the other side when the grain direction changes. Leaves a pretty nice surface. No issues.

> 3 dayI bought this bit for template routing to make some back chair legs. I was VERY surprised at how well this thing was able to cut down a 2x4. Super smooth and hasnt dulled at all after a fair bit (no pun intended) of usage. It is a large, solid, well-built router bit and it got the job done!

> 3 dayI needed this to make some radius cuts on a 1.5 inch walnut counter top. Worked very well. Shallow passes, many cuts, smooth as hell. Needed very little sanding. Very happy.

> 3 dayWasn’t the cheapest but it did a great job so far. It’s a beast of a bit compared to what I’m used to. I’ve only used for the top bearing so far. Cut very well though. Time will tell how long it lasts.

> 3 dayI wanted to put smooth edges on oak stock that I was using to make red oak mission style chairs. The back legs are 1 1/2x 1 1/2, with a angle about half way. Several of the cross pieces have an arch cut. I made a template of 1/4 mdf. I cut the pieces on the band saw, cutting about 1/8 outside the lines. I got this two bearing CMT cutter, installed them in the 2hp router mounted in owner made router table. It is an awesome, serious, massive bit. The length handled the 1 1/2 stock plus the 1/4 template and took the saw blade marks out, leaving a smooth finish, no sanding needed. The two CMT bits I ordered came in a sturdy bit holder and a heavy clear plastic storage box. Once you get used to the large size, you should enjoy using these bits. They are well made, sharp carbide cutters, smooth ball bearings, the bottom bearing is removable, when one needs to make a over cut with hand held router. I am a hobbyist, not a pro, but for what I wanted, these bits suit me very well. I am looking forward to using them some more, they are fun to run.

Greater than one weekBought to replace a Yonico 14134 Flush Trim Router Bit which was junk. Obtained to flush trim 1.5 deep large mortises in a 2x12 with Bosch 1617. I have used routers for years, and know not to bottom out the bit when installing and to properly clamp it in. Yoniko bit vibrated violently the minute I turned router on. Tried to trim anyway - bit started working its way up and out of the router. Collet ruined, burnished beyond use. Measured shaft. Yoniko is both eccentric, tapered, and undersized. .490 to .455. Bought new collect and this CMT bit replacements. Worked perfectly. Also, CMT has a shear cut, while Yonico is straight. Stripped off the Yoniko bearings - bit is now in the trash... You always pay for what you get, and not always get what you pay for. CMT shaft is consistently .502. Tightened and stayed tight. Cut perfectly. Live and learn. Buy cheap, get cheap.
