Colgate Total Plaque Pro Release Whitening Toothpaste, 1 Pack, 3.0 Oz Tube

The tube itself is great. I especially like how there’s no toothpaste residue after you use it. However the toothpaste is a bit too spicy for me.

I felt my teeth have been the whitest and clean with this toothpaste. It doesn’t sting, make my teeth sensitive or leave a weird film in my mouth that some whitening toothpastes do. I need to buy it again but i have a lot of other toothpastes to try/finish before i order more.

Ever since I was a young child I’ve been haunted by plaque. Around every single corner, plaque was waiting for me, ready to damage my gums. But then I discovered this product. It was able to release the stranglehold plaque had on my life.

I used this past first time today. It does foam a lot and the breath is extremely clean right after brushing and in fact it does neutralize bad breath. But the anti plaque effect cant be said as its too early. Ive been using arm and hammer baking soda toothpaste for years and thats proven one -- whitens teeth, and neutralizes odor. But its much cheaper than this and tube size is double. But some tartar still forms. Not much but little. The anti plaque effect is really why I bought this and I hope it works UPDATE: After 2 months of using this toothpaste, I can confirm that no new plaque has ever been seen and my teeth are whiter. The best thing I like about this toothpaste is that your breath remains super fresh for hours and hours later. I have never seen that with any other toothpaste. I used arm and hammer advanced white prior to switching to this and the fresh breath didnt last this long ever. This is an amazing toothpaste

Does not whiten, not worth the money - regular toothpaste does at least more.

I’ve had only one dental cleaning since I started using this and my visit was a breeze! It was about a 15 minute cleaning and I was out. Hygienist was asking me what I was doing now they were so clean. I loved it!

So this Colgate whitening toothpaste is definitely on the smaller side for the price. It seems like you’re paying more for fancy packaging than actual product. The product itself isn’t strong to deter use. It’s supposed to be an anti cavity, anti gingivitis, and anti sensitivity whitening toothpaste. The active ingredient in it is Stannous Fluoride 0.454% (0. 15 % w/v fluoride ion), so enough to ensure you’re still getting an average dose of fluoride while whitening. Since this is a whitening toothpaste, it did state to not use for more than 1 minute while brushing and to discard use immediately if sensitivity issues become an issue, so there is probably enough product to cause some sensitivity if you already have sensitive teeth. I have started using it and only brush the recommended 1 minute since my teeth are already sensitive so we will see if any issues arise. I will update after I have used the entire bottle to update if there was any difference in whitening.
