Ive been a storm spawn user since their inception, and purchased several over the years. Sadly, they havent been available for years, and the xornet ii was just a downgrade. This, the mm720, has the same shape and supportive feel of the spawn, however it is very slippery and jittery, due to the fact the entire mouse is made of super slick light-weight plastic. As a claw gripper, I find this slick material keeps making my index and middle fingers slip from position constantly. I know their is some kind of tape I can apply, but Im reviewing this mouse as is. Its the best option still available for spawn lovers. I just miss the rubber, grip, and quality of the original.

Amazing shape and basically weightless. I cant see myself ever using another mouse for gaming. Issues I found: - Slight creaking when using right click (started about a month in). - White gets dirty where your finger tips lie. - Not all dpis are available (cant set it to 450, only 400 or 500). That being said, very satisfied. Next time Ill just get the black one instead. Update: I ended up trashing my white MM720. Switches started feeling cruddy after months of use. I decided to pick up the mouse again and ordered in Matte black this time. The reason I did was because I found Razer v2 opticals switches in another marketplace. Once I swapped the stock LK optical switches with the Razer V2s, the mouse improved exponentially. With the black version I received there is no creaking like my previous glossy white one. Still wish the side buttons were more flush with the mouse, but the new switches have made this mouse my all day use for gaming and work. Hopefully CM releases a wireless version with new side button design but until then Im very happy with the MM720 now.

Ive been using my current mouse for almost 20 months now. Everything still works perfectly. Now that the price is like half of what I originally bought it for, Im going to be getting a second one to replace the cheap Talon Blu gaming mouse that I was using for my work. That other mouse developed the double click problem thats common with the Omron switches some number of years ago. To be fair, Ive been using that other mouse for about 9 years now, so not bad for a $20 mouse.

I suggest to NOT add the grip tape it comes with. The price goes from $45 to $18 bucks. For anything below $20, this is a great mouse for work and general use, but I am not liking it for gaming at all. It seems to have a delay in clicking and sensor wise.

Ive been using this style of mouse from Cooler Master since it was called the Spawn in 2013. Its unique, extremely comfortable ergonomic shape is simply perfect. However, this newest iteration is an absolute disaster, and Im surprised its been rated so well. 1) The actuation of the left/right click is so much slower and less responsive than its predecessors (Xornet, Spawn). In other words, you cant click as fast. 2) The scroll wheel has less teeth, making scrolling slower and not as smooth. 3) The quality of the plastic/composite feels much cheaper. 4) The prior models had a high quality rubber inlay for better grip/control. This new model (MM720) ships bare, with some cheap little adhesive stickers you can apply to the sides and left/right click. Aside from just being cheap, the problem is the edges rub up against your palm since theres no more inlays anymore (really annoying). 5) The Ultraweave cable feels like a normal cable with a loose sheath wrapped around it (definitely does not feel like a high quality braided cable). 6) The holes in the body of the mouse make no sense and serve no function other than to illuminate the mouse from the RGB lighting (no, it doesnt make the mouse breathable). All sorts of crap collects in there, making it a huge pain to clean, and all of the ridges in those holes start to collect skin cells from use. 7) Having to download software to control your mouse lighting isnt ideal. It would be nice if it was off by default, and then people who want to turn it on can download the software to control it... Overall it just seems like CM went the cheap route on everything, added some RGB lighting to cater to that fad, and undid everything great about the old designs. The only reason I give it another star is its the only mouse I know of with this particular shape.

Super lightweight, the glides stick on well. It works great after heavy use. The optical clicks are satisfying. Its just reliable. Ive wacked it into my keyboard a couple times and it didnt scuff. Its very durable somehow. Its just all around constructed really well, its built really good. The reliability with the clicks. The software is really good for it and helps you customize it and set your DPI. Its just really good. This is the mouse everyone is sleeping on. The mouse your mouse wishes it could be basically. -My husband, a very big fan of this mouse

Its an imperfect product by anyones standards. However, it performs well, weighs nothing, and feels very comfortable. Cant fingertip it with small hands. Wouldnt recommend it for palm at all, either. Claw grip should work for a wide range of hands. Fingertip will work for hands medium and (probably) up. I have hands on the smaller side of medium and get high scores in aim trainers while fingertipping this thing. Best build quality? No. Stock grips? Meh. Usable. But the price and performance are top notch. This mouse is rated as the number one ultralight mouse on rtings.com, and there are reasons for it- namely the click latency and weight. The feet and cable get my approval, too. Clicks are dull and light. Thats common for optical switches. You trade that for decreased latency. At least thats how it is until optical switches improve (Edit: Razer has achieved mechanical-like feeling in their optical switches). My copy has occasional creaking in mouse 1, but the price/performance ratio is so great I have to let it slide. This mouse needs no upgrades and has been on sale for $35. Its not the most solid because of how light it is, but if this shape works for you, youre going to like it. I did adjust this from a 5 to 4-star review, however, because I do question the long-term durability. Plus the clicks could be snappier. Razers V2 optical switches feel like mechanical switches and the Viper Mini is cheaper than this mouse. I still really enjoy the MM720 and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is interested in this kind of shape. This is coming from someone who almost strictly used symmetrical mice until I got this one.

Pros: -Light -VERY comfortable to hold -3389 sensor -optical switches -for the price you pay, you get more top tier features than a lot of mice selling at twice that price Cons: -this is just my experience, but this mouse is very wide making horizontal movement challenging -I prefer to use this mouse more for browsing and casual gaming, I do not play well in FPS games due to my casual claw grip style

This mouse is super unique in its shape and that is why so many people love it. I think anyone can get used to it, Ive never used a shape like this but got hooked pretty quick. the mm720 is definitely a claw/fingertip style mouse so make sure thats your preferred grip style. ALSO I tried both the glossy and matte, I far prefer the matte white coating. The glossy is a bit too sticky feeling for my heated hands haha. If you are unsure Id go with the matte just to play it safe. I will also add, for its price its incredible value. Solid build (people say it squeeks when you squeeze it? Ya a little with some good force but you wont do that while gaming), incredible weight and balanced, awesome stock paracord cable, crispy optical switches with very little pre travel with a bit more post travel (not game breaking) and a top notch sensor. RGB customization is great and you have adjustable lift off distance in the software.
