I have been using this line of products since the Xornet in 2013, with 3 mice purchased since then. I do not use it as a claw grip, as advertised. Rather, my palm rests perfectly on it, with my wrist resting on my desk as a pivot point. I love that this iteration, the MM720, is smaller, just like the Xornet, and so, so much lighter, likely thanks to the honeycomb design. The buttons feel sharp and responsive, the mouse wheel is tight, and the software is lightweight and easy to use. For reference, I play a variety of click-intensive and precision-reliant games such as competitive CS:GO and Old School RuneScape. There is a combo button functionality that allows changing profiles with button combinations. Of course there are also full rebinds and macros. (Beware, some games do not tolerate macros, and you can be banned if you use them.) Overall, Im extremely satisfied. I might even buy another one in case the product line changes direction in the future ;)

If you have ever used a hornet, thats what it feels like. Its lightweight. No rubbery surface that will gum up later. Tracking is excellent. The best claw grip mouse I have used. Im getting a couple more just in case they get discontinued. Cons: 1) Mouse DPI adjustment on bottom. Set it and forget it. 2) LEDs too bright for me.

The Cooler Master MM720 is a great mouse. The new white one I just bought replaces another black MM720. Seems that whatever mouse I buy, it only lasts a year. Go figure. That being said, the MM720 lasts longer than others I have tried. I have large hands so you would think a larger mouse would work better, but, no so. The shape of the MM720 allows my hand to comfortable use the controls without hardly moving my hand and the natural claw grip is shaped perfectly for a resting hand and fingers. The only downside (but not for me) is that the DPI selection button is on the bottom side. Not a big deal as once set, it wont be touched again. You can download the MasterPlus+ software to change the MM720 color leds. I highly recommend the MM720.

The MM720 is an incredible mouse, and is absolutely the best mouse Ive ever used. It is a relatively no frills mouse; it has only your basic buttons (left/right/middle click, scroll wheel, forward/back buttons, and a DPI button on the bottom of the mouse). If youre looking for more functionality out of your mouse, this may not be the one for you. The buttons The biggest thing for me is ergonomic slot for your fourth finger on the right side of the mouse. I didnt know how much I needed that extra support for my hand until I used this mouse, but now its something Ill definitely look for in the future. It looks weird and took a couple hours of getting used to, but I can safely say it helps a LOT with fatigue and comfort, especially as a claw grip. This is also an incredibly light mouse. In its class, its among the lightest (at 49g?). Its noticeable going from non-lightweight mice out there to any mouse marketed as lightweight, but personally, I dont think 10-20g matters that much. If that matters to you, then it has that going for it. Over the years, Ive used more than a dozen different mice, mostly from Logitech and Razer, but also from other companies. Ive been a claw grip since I was a teenager playing CS 1.6, but most mice out there just arent designed well for that grip. This mouse is purpose-built for claw grips, and the fourth finger slot on the side helps a ton for that.

The only purpose of this short review is to emphasize that for people who have been desperately searching for a mouse that recreates the features of the original CM Storm Xornet, look no further, this is your dream come true.

This is my favorite mouse Ive ever used. Super lightweight, shape fits like a glove (very underrated IMO) and my aim in FPS feels sharp as ever. Cable is also one of the best stock Ive ever used and makes it feel wireless without the added latency. Now the problem is Cooler Masters quality control is notoriously pretty bad. Ive went through many CM mice and they either had a creaky shell or developed mushy buttons in less than 6 months of use. I only got lucky with one glossy MM720. CM has you covered for a replacement but dont be surprised if it still has the same problems as the one you sent back. If you win the lottery and get a unit from a good batch, this is easily in the Top 3 of gaming mice as long as the shape works for you. Good luck.

This mouse is very comfortable, great for its price, and very light. The only issue I have with it is that the first one I got is continuously disconnecting due to a kink at the beginning of the wire near the mouse cover. The wire protection is great; its like a shoe lace, but the wire under it is very cheap.

I suggest to NOT add the grip tape it comes with. The price goes from $45 to $18 bucks. For anything below $20, this is a great mouse for work and general use, but I am not liking it for gaming at all. It seems to have a delay in clicking and sensor wise.

It is a reliable mouse. Yes you can turn off the led light on it. Prefer this to a wireless mouse, and no charging!!!!

I’ve been using two versions of this mouse (one for work & one for gaming/personal computer) since late 2020. Im a pretty small person and have had to use cheap laptop mice for most of my life because of my hand size and that I prefer a claw grip. I’ve tried a couple other “gaming” mice before this, but they’ve all been too large for my hand and I can never reach any of the extra buttons without moving my entire hand. These mice have been a total lifesaver - way more comfortable than the portable laptop mice I had been using, allows my hands to spread out a bit, and are still lightweight enough to be comfortable. I bought a matte and glossy version (black and white respectively) and I prefer the matte version for long sessions. The white glossy has been super easy to clean though. I haven’t spent much time in the settings aside from setting up LED lights honestly, but I’ve been able to configure them on my windows machine and carry it over to my mac for work and the colors/settings stay. I’ll continue buying this mouse if I need til they’re no longer made.
