This is great for blocking the blazing sun in Albuquerque. I use it on walks out in the sun to stay cooler in the shade. The umbrella is like a portable shade tree. The material is still holding up quite well and appears to be high quality.

Just what I wanted for my golf bag

I love this umbrella. It gives a great amount of coverage without being too big. I live in Texas so the sun can get pretty scorching. Its easy to open and close and the hook handle is both pretty and functional in carrying it. Like other reviews have mentioned, the handle does start peeling but it shouldnt bother you if youre not into aesthetics as much. Besides, the only person likely to notice is you! I also have the small compact Coolibar umbrella and this one withstands strong winds much much better. I still kept the small one to carry in my purse for when I have an unexpected outdoor adventure and I dont have this one with me (usually walking to lunch from work rather than driving). I also get a lot of questions and compliments on this umbrella. Everyone is always asking me where I got it from.

Doesnt help as much as Id like on 100-deg.+ days (needs a fan & A/C unit, probably), but then, Id like a pristine planet heading into an ice age, too. Still, when the sun is ferocious, this umbrella does help me to feel slightly cooler (by a couple of degrees, maybe? -- not *10*, as one reviewer claimed). Maybe one of the best features is just how cool it *appears* to other people. On a beastly hot day, others will covet what they imagine to be your oasis of coolness. Everyone wants to know where I got it.

Great product. All coolibar items are worth the price for me. My two daughters and I have lupus and sun protection isnt a choice. I purchased this umbrella to be able to watch my son play baseball and to take on other sunny outung. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

Tried to find a real sun umbrella for my wife to use here in Hawaii.

Ive had this umbrella for three years but have only used it a few times. Currently I am taking an antibiotic that causes sun sensitivity so I am using my Coolibar umbrella regularly for the past several days. The slide mechanism used to open and close it just snapped off. Now the only way to keep it closed is by holding it down while tightening the Velcro closure straps. For an otherwise nice umbrella, that essential piece is cheaply made and should be made of metal.
