It is ever so slightly heavier than a regular umbrella, but I think that the protection it provides far outweighs its weight. It is also a bit hard to get it to close- it does require a bit more effort than usual. However, despite all this, it really provides superb protection from the sun and would recommend this umbrella to anyone in a heartbeat- its that great.

For Silver - Silver color on the outside to reflect UV rays, green on the underside to absorb UV rays. For Black - Black color on the outside and inside.
