Coolibar UPF 50+ 48 Inch Calotta Fashion Umbrella - Sun Protective (One Size- Silver/Green)

Tried to find a real sun umbrella for my wife to use here in Hawaii.

I REALLY wanted to be impressed and love this thing.

High quality umbrella and I would highly recommend this product.

Doesnt help as much as Id like on 100-deg.+ days (needs a fan & A/C unit, probably), but then, Id like a pristine planet heading into an ice age, too. Still, when the sun is ferocious, this umbrella does help me to feel slightly cooler (by a couple of degrees, maybe? -- not *10*, as one reviewer claimed). Maybe one of the best features is just how cool it *appears* to other people. On a beastly hot day, others will covet what they imagine to be your oasis of coolness. Everyone wants to know where I got it.

Great for sitting out at soccer games! Its pretty sturdy and holds up well against a strong wind. Doubles for a rain umbrella. I thought it was bigger, however. Only one adult can fit under it.

At first, I hesitated spending $45 on an umbrella, so I found something else for $25. The build quality was not good at all, and I returned it. Found another umbrella for just under $25, and again had to return, it felt like a flimsy regular umbrella.

But for the repeated breakage of the open/close mechanism, Id give this umbrella a 5+ star rating. I used my first umbrella for about 2 weeks - sun only, no rain or high winds - when the open/closure mechanism broke. Returned it for a replacement. This second umbrellas mechanism broke even quicker. I know how to properly use an umbrella, so its not operator error! Very disappointed.

They redid the handle (the black coating doesnt flake anymore) and now this umbrella is perfect. The canopy lasts far longer than other UV umbrellas Ive used. Thanks Coolibar, you rock.

This Coolibar Umbrella has a great auto-open mechanism with just one easy push of my thumb and then it closes and secures easily when finished. It is very stylish and the handgrip is shaped for easier holding. The vents help with keeping it cool and the 50+ UPF keeps my skin from getting aggravated from too much sun or heat. I am really pleased with this umbrella and would purchase again when/if it surpasses its useful life.
