Used this in the topics. Where the sun and heat are beyond intense. It’s actually cooler under the umbrella and the UV protection is so strong I didn’t get the tan I normally did under other umbrellas, so yea. It’s the real deal. A tad heavy but so worth it.

Its smaller than I expected from the reviews, and the latch to close it is a bitch. Itll come undone so many times before I can get it to stay. Very frustrating. Thought it was going to be worth the extra money from the reviews I read. :( I am hypersensitive, basically allergic to the sun/death star because of my neurovascular pain disorder, Erythromelalgia. Pretty disappointed in the quality of this, but its okaaaaaaay. -Rose

I had been looking to buy this for a couple of years, but it was always sold out (the small travel size was only available, and I wanted the bigger one). This umbrella has made a big difference in my life. Im not a big fan of the sun in general, and the sun becomes especially oppressive when I take my daily lunch break walk. I walk about 2.5 miles along the water and there isnt much shade. I was tired of coming back to work completely sweaty and being unevenly colored (dark arms, sun marks on my face around my sunglasses...not attractive).

Just a very, very well made piece of equipment. I live in sometimes windy Santa Monica California and plan to use it for the few rainy days we get. Its easily the strongest, most well-made umbrella Ive ever owned from the look of it. Im not planning to use it as a sun shade, but it certainly looks like it would work great in that capacity.

Somewhat expensive, but very well made. It should hold up well. This is a good long term value.

The packing was bit sad; carton already tore at the corner probably becasue it has some weight; you might want to consider if you always use a umbrella when youre out during daytime. The Umbrella came in a matching silver sleeve with draw string! Very sturdy & looks like itll last seasons. All spokes are plastic/fibre but not flimsy at all. For some reason the opening mechanism wouldnt let the umbrella snap open hence avoiding wear & tear of stitches at the seams (just a wild guess, it may very well be a flaw with the piece I got) The rubber coating on handle is for some reason developing wrinkles, as if its about the shed skin. I guess it may be in response to oil/sunscreen contact from the palm. If you dont mind this tiny quirk, go ahead and buy it. Just if youre wondering, its circumference is pretty decent; 3ft(36 inches approx)I guess.

I confess that I have not used this much, having just received it a week ago. However, I am pleased with the quality and construction. It opens readily via the button and it has a great arc to it, allowing you to get under the middle and really be protected.
