I was a little conflicted about whether I should give this product 4 or 5 stars. I went with 5, and heres why. These markers are top notch when it comes to blending. The brush tip makes feather blending results so beautiful and vibrant. If you are a beginner with alcohol based markers, I strongly suggest buying a cheaper brush tip brand so you dont make the same mistake I did. I was new to markers when I bought these and wasted almost all of the ink trying to figure out how to get the best results. Buying a cheaper brand will allow you to get a feel for the techniques needed to get the results you want. Once youve decided you like them, they are so worth the money, especially since they will last you a lifetime since they offer replaceable nibs and ink refills. The reason I almost gave these 4 stars is because most of the ones I received seemed to be near dry fresh out of the unsealed package.

These pens take a lot of getting used to (why they lost a star) and the books that are available really help in learning how to use them. They are refillable which is a bonus. I recommend getting a book to guide you as when you use them properly, the effect is really cool. They also use a number system that helps a lot in finding what colors are best used together.

I love them! It’s the first time I have had copics and I’m so happy with how they work. And the packaging was not broken like the other ones so that’s something you don’t have to worry about!

I bought these pens for my granddaughter. All she talked about, was how she hoped to some day getting them. She is very happy with them..

I was very skeptical about paying this much for markers. I am an artist and also enjoy adult coloring books but could not see paying this much for just markers. However this is a good starter set for Copics and it provides a range of wonderful markers. You will immediately see the difference. There is no streaking, very little bleeding and the ability to blend. They are heads above regular markers and probably too good to just waste on coloring books but since this is what I bought them for they are doing a wonderful job. You cant use them on books that have double sided images as they will bleed thru but I find they bleed less than Prismacolor markers (both thru the paper and over the lines). I found that there is much more control to these brush tips whereas Prismacolor Premiere markers may actually leak outside the lines a bit if you press too hard. These are just a bit better - but the Prismacolor does tend to offer some darker colors and the two different brands seem to compliment each other well. Neither Prismacolor or Copic will work on those coloring books with very fine lines. The brush tips simply are not that small but there is nothign wrong with mixing marker and fine tip, colored pencil and gel pen on a single design. If you want to know what the fuss is about buy one or two of these and youll be hooked into buying a set.
