> 3 dayThe software installed and worked without problems on both a OS X 10.11 and a Win 10 system. Overall the software worked really smoothly and I felt the learning curve was not very steep. Past experience with Corel software has been very positive and I have found they provide really good support if a problem arises.

> 3 dayIve been using Lightroom since Version 2 to manage my photo workflow and edit photos, and Ive been pretty happy with it. But Adobes starting to push users how bought it outright to switch over to the Creative Cloud at $9.95 a month, and I wondered if Corels AfterShot Pro could replace it. At only $79.99 (or, to be honest, free, to Vine reviewers) it was certainly worth checking out. Two days ago I received a padded envelope from Amazon that contained what looked like a cardboard CD envelope. The envelope contained not a CD, but a slip of paper with a registration number. As with Adobes products, to install AfterImage you download the software and enter the code to convert a 30-day trial package into a permanent install. And as with Adobe products, you can create a Corel usr ID at installation (or after) in order to manage your Corel products.

> 3 dayI enjoy taking photos with my Sony camera, but Im an amateur and have never learned an editing program. As a result, Ive captured beautiful moments, but my pictures are imperfect and need organization and correction before I can share them with family and friends. My pictures taken on my smartphones over the years especially need help. Many pictures seemed hopeless due to overexposure, blemishes and other issues, but Ive been truly amazed at how photos that are dull, overexposed and lacking in many ways can be transformed with Corel AfterShot Pro 3 into beautiful images to frame and share. Although AfterShot Pro 3 seems perfect for batch editing by Pros, Im using it for for editing individual photos and am really pleased with it so far.

Greater than one weekI feel like this software is a good balance of power and simplicity. Ive been a Photoshop Elements user for quite a number of years. Ive always been put off by the way you have to import files and how editing was always a bit of a separate task from editing and cataloging. AfterShot Pro combines both really well. It lets you use your native file folder organization directly yet you can still create custom collections of shots from multiple folders. Although it has plenty of tagging and keyword capabilities, they arent quite as straightforward nor are they the main focus in this application.

Greater than one weekOne of the main applications for the program like this is to edit raw image files. This one does not support newer Panasonic camera models. So it is useless for those camera owners, as it would not open their raw files. I would not be surprised if AfterShot Pro3 was not current on other camera brands either.

Greater than one weekI bought AfterShot Pro 3 when Corel PaintShop Pro 2019 displayed an automated sales pitch while I was trying to edit a RAW file (basically, it said that I could do more with AfterShot Pro 3 in terms of RAW file editing). So, I bought the upgrade directly from Corel and the application absolutely does not recognized RAW files from Panasonic cameras. There is proposed fix on the Corel website but the fix does not help at all. I have asked for my money back and has also sent a request for technical help (so far, no response). Further, I dont see what this application offers beyond Corel PaintShop Pro 2019 (which is fine, with a few bugs here and there).
