Ive used Corels Pinnacle on Windows XP then moved on to Vista with Video Studio 2018 and Windows 10 with Video Studio 2019. Those products performed adequately, but the rendering took forever and .MOV video from my Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera was a problem. Furthermore, Video Studio 2018 and 2019 lacked the smarts to take advantage of high performance Graphic Processor Units from Nvidia and AMD. Im happy to report Video Studio Ultimate 2021 solved those problems! After installation I took a video project that took well over an hour to render with Video Studio 2019 on my high performance workstation where my AMD Radeon GPU was essentially 0%. Running Video Studio 2021 it took just a few minutes to render and my AMD Radeon GPU utilization was 90% to 100%, so all those 32 graphic core processors were getting used. The Video Studio 2021 install was simple and it automatically activated the AMD GPU and set the proper memory interface window into the AMD Graphic Memory. The .MOV file format problem from DSLR cameras (at least my camera) has been solved. Now I can import video files without conversion. This saves a ton of time. The only thing that I could not get working was direct capture from my DSLR into VS 2021. This could be do to the fact that my DSLR shows up as a mobile device in the operating system device list and not as a camera. The camera works fine in Zoom sessions and DSLR application software so I know the driver is fine and working. This is not a show stopper since I have simple work around solutions. I suspect if Video Studio knew where to look for the device under mobile devices all would be fine. For me a wonderful improvement over VS 2018 and 2019.

I have Video Studio X10 and have tried to purchase VS 2022 upgrade twice now and had to get refunds because the program just wont download on my windows 10 machine. Tech support had me deleating C++ files and doing registry edits, oh my. Ive tried to stay in the Corel family but unless it becomes available on a disk, Id say stay away. Other reviews might cover the content but I cant even DL it. I had Pinnacle before but it is download only and Corel download system is broken.

I ordered Corel VideoStudio 2021. The installation on my laptop worked fine but when I attempted to open the application, the splash screen would appear but the application would not open. Ive contacted Corel support three times to troubleshoot this but all they have me do is to uninstall the application, then reinstall it, then try to open it again. This has never worked - the same problem remains. It doesnt appear that I can return this software so I have no way to get my money back for this software.

Paint shop Pro has come a long way over the years. I started trying to use it having owned an older version and thought I could get buy. Nothing I’m trying to do is easy. I’ve bought several books and am going to have to spend a lot of time learning. Sorry. Just doesn’t feel intuitive.

It will take months to really write a good review for this product. However, one thing is for sure it took over an hour to load. even with super fast WiFi. And this was using the DVD disc with 5.63GB. it still has to load 3 programs over the internet. So make sure your internet is up and running before you start to load this software. Pro. Con. How do you remove the updates. i thought i was buying a working finished product.

  • Repent and go and sin no more!!!! God is coming.

Ive done a little video editing using the editor buried in the MS software under photos, or was it draw? Anyway, hard to find and awkward to use - but does okay. Corel VideoStudios is a huge improvement with music and effect. Im going to have a lot of fun experimenting with it. Loading took over an hour - at one point it stalled out for 15 minutes and I thought it had crashed! But lots of cool toys. Definitely worth the $70 entrance fee - compare to a dinner and movie - and this will last much longer, even allow me to make my own movies!!!

Installed easily and comes with great tutorials. Was able to start using immediately and created a video with sound and moving slides within an hour.

Ive used Corels video editor in the past. Its a decent product, but with every passing year, it feels clunkier and clunkier. This software needs a rebuild from the ground up. The biggest issue is the user interface. It feels old and outdated. In some places, its outright annoying. This is very apparent when you use the capture function. Youll have to monkey around to find the multi-cam capture. On one hand I applaud the fact that MCC is now imbedded in the main program, instead of a standalone app, but it should be much easier to find. That capture tab is just a mess. Another huge issue is the optimization. This thing runs like hot garbage at times. I have a new PC and a top of the line video card. This runs much slower than previous versions Ive used on older, less powerful machines. There is a monkey in the room we need to address with this software. If you are only looking for a video editor, for basic editing, this is a terrible choice. If you want an excellent video editor, for intensive processing, this is a terrible choice. The only people I can see getting value out of this, is an aspiring YouTuber who wants beyond basic editing. For the average person who just wants to edit basic video, the video editor Microsoft puts in Windows 10, for free, is a much better option. There is another issue that severely impacts the value. This is a Corel product. Ah, Corel! The EA of the media editing world. If youre not sure what that means, this is what you are going to get: 1 - Some updates over the next year. 2 - Subpar support 3 - Random glitches that will drive you nuts. 4 - You will witness your software turn into adware after a year. Number four is the biggest issue for me. Corel is infamous for this. Prepare to get assaulted with ads that try to get you to dish out money after a year. These ads might even show up in your Windows feed. Its aggressive and shameful, when youve already paid a good amount of money for the software. Basically, this one is really hard to recommend and even more so if you already have a previous version. There just isnt enough to really justify upgrading to this one. Id hold off until Corel overhauls the UI.
