> 3 dayIve used Corels video editor in the past. Its a decent product, but with every passing year, it feels clunkier and clunkier. This software needs a rebuild from the ground up. The biggest issue is the user interface. It feels old and outdated. In some places, its outright annoying. This is very apparent when you use the capture function. Youll have to monkey around to find the multi-cam capture. On one hand I applaud the fact that MCC is now imbedded in the main program, instead of a standalone app, but it should be much easier to find. That capture tab is just a mess. Another huge issue is the optimization. This thing runs like hot garbage at times. I have a new PC and a top of the line video card. This runs much slower than previous versions Ive used on older, less powerful machines. There is a monkey in the room we need to address with this software. If you are only looking for a video editor, for basic editing, this is a terrible choice. If you want an excellent video editor, for intensive processing, this is a terrible choice. The only people I can see getting value out of this, is an aspiring YouTuber who wants beyond basic editing. For the average person who just wants to edit basic video, the video editor Microsoft puts in Windows 10, for free, is a much better option. There is another issue that severely impacts the value. This is a Corel product. Ah, Corel! The EA of the media editing world. If youre not sure what that means, this is what you are going to get: 1 - Some updates over the next year. 2 - Subpar support 3 - Random glitches that will drive you nuts. 4 - You will witness your software turn into adware after a year. Number four is the biggest issue for me. Corel is infamous for this. Prepare to get assaulted with ads that try to get you to dish out money after a year. These ads might even show up in your Windows feed. Its aggressive and shameful, when youve already paid a good amount of money for the software. Basically, this one is really hard to recommend and even more so if you already have a previous version. There just isnt enough to really justify upgrading to this one. Id hold off until Corel overhauls the UI.

> 3 dayIt will take months to really write a good review for this product. However, one thing is for sure it took over an hour to load. even with super fast WiFi. And this was using the DVD disc with 5.63GB. it still has to load 3 programs over the internet. So make sure your internet is up and running before you start to load this software. Pro. Con. How do you remove the updates. i thought i was buying a working finished product.

> 3 dayI have never experienced a piece of software so hard to use. This thing could probably edit your videos and make you a sandwich, BUT good luck figuring out how! I just dont want to spend 10 hours learning how to simply clip unwanted pieces of MP4 videos and stitching back together into a seamless edited video. Completely useless user guide. NO INDEX !!! Sorry I wasted my money.

> 3 dayOK, I got a good deal, or so I thought. If the program didnt crash and if it didnt have audio issues then this would have been a great deal. I have a Windows 11, 64 bit Home edition PC. It installed quickly due to SSD and I experienced multiple crashes within the first 15 minutes. The program just disappears from view and needs to be restarted. If you didnt save in time then the most recent work will be lost. So, I saved every time I made a change or adjustment. OK, I got that solved, now the audio doesnt work. It has two modes for audio, clip, and project. Clip mode will just play the audio within the clip boundaries. Project mode allows all clips to play with the audio, but there is no sound with it that way. I have made several videos with audio issues that actually worked because I saved the project and then exited the program. Then when I restarted the program the issue resolved itself. However, eventually, that solution stopped working and now I cannot get the audio to reinstate. It now will not play in clip mode or project mode. Windows tried to repair the problem but it didnt work. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it a total of 3 times and now the audio will work in clip mode but not project mode--again! I have Googled the problem and I have sought help in the troubleshooting forums, with no solution. I am now, with less than 3 weeks ownership going to find another video editor. I dont recommend this POS to anybody. Sorry, but thats the truth! Steer clear of this software.
