Corel VideoStudio Ultimate 2021 | Video Editing Software with Hundreds of Premium Effects | Slideshow Maker, Screen Recorder, DVD Burner [PC Disc] [Old Version]

OK, I got a good deal, or so I thought. If the program didnt crash and if it didnt have audio issues then this would have been a great deal. I have a Windows 11, 64 bit Home edition PC. It installed quickly due to SSD and I experienced multiple crashes within the first 15 minutes. The program just disappears from view and needs to be restarted. If you didnt save in time then the most recent work will be lost. So, I saved every time I made a change or adjustment. OK, I got that solved, now the audio doesnt work. It has two modes for audio, clip, and project. Clip mode will just play the audio within the clip boundaries. Project mode allows all clips to play with the audio, but there is no sound with it that way. I have made several videos with audio issues that actually worked because I saved the project and then exited the program. Then when I restarted the program the issue resolved itself. However, eventually, that solution stopped working and now I cannot get the audio to reinstate. It now will not play in clip mode or project mode. Windows tried to repair the problem but it didnt work. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it a total of 3 times and now the audio will work in clip mode but not project mode--again! I have Googled the problem and I have sought help in the troubleshooting forums, with no solution. I am now, with less than 3 weeks ownership going to find another video editor. I dont recommend this POS to anybody. Sorry, but thats the truth! Steer clear of this software.

THIS WAS USED! The rigistration number is already licensed to someone else and the disk had many scratches on it also!

Sadly, I am not a fan of this software...And this is coming from a Corel fanboy who has been using CorelDraw for decades. Software is slow, effects are dated, not very user friendly, templates are limited and basic. If you are a pro, you might like this better, but if youre a pro youre probably using more expensive software. The Fast Flick software (included) is more easy and user friendly but again, very dated. More professional driven, not very fun. Good pro tools but none that are new/trendy/fun IMO.

Ive used several versions of Corels VideoStudio; the purchase price includes a perpetual software license (no monthly subscription fees) and Corel adds new features with every update. Usually I update every 2-3 years; I ordered this Vine Voice version to update from VideoStudio 2020 Ultimate, expecting new features plus improved rendering support using my NVIDIA GPU. VideoStudio 2021 emphasizes improved support for 360 degree video, but I have no experience with 360 degree video. Software installation is straightforward, requiring Internet connectivity both to verify the included software serial number and also to download program updates and bonus content. You start the enclosed CD, input the included software serial number, and then watch the bar graphs fill while installation continues without further dialog. (This large program takes significant installation time.) VideoStudio 2021 Ultimate installation does not delete earlier VideoStudio versions, but it replaces Multicam Capture Lite earlier versions and it leaves an *undiscussed* VideoStudio folder on your Windows desktop. (That folder contains two subfolders: Patch and 64-bit. 64-bit contains *undiscussed* NewBlue titling and video enhancement software. I rename the desktop folder Folder from Desktop and I move the renamed folder to C:UsernameDocumentsCorel VideoStudio Pro24.0 for safekeeping.) At installation end the congratulations message links you to the Corel website where you can access instructional videos and can download the VideoStudio 2021 User Guide PDF. The instructional videos and user guide also are accessible from the VideoStudio 2021 startup (Home) screen. VideoStudio has four modes: Home; Capture; Edit; and Share. Home mode offers instructional videos, and also offers for sale Corels VideoStudio software enhancements. Capture mode assumes your live camera is connected to your computer and controls video recording. Edit mode permits editing your prerecorded video clips, and provides a multichannel timeline model to assemble your prerecorded video clips, title and graphic overlay tracks, and voice and music tracks into a composite video. Using the timeline model becomes intuitive after viewing several Corel instructional videos. Edit mode produces a parameterized project small file that defines your composite video. Share mode allows GPU-enhanced recording your composite video to hard disk, to digital media, or uploading your composite video to popular Internet video websites. I observe little functional change (faster performance?) comparing VideoStudio 2021 Edit and Share modes with VideoStudio 2020, but Capture mode has changed significantly. During the pandemic weve all acquired webcams, and Capture mode facilitates webcam video recording. VideoStudio 2020 Capture mode had definite problems: HD-, 2K- and 4K-resolution webcams all produced 720*480 pixel 30 fps video. But VideoStudio 2020 Ultimate included a separate Multicam Capture Lite (MCL) app that recorded 1920*1080 pixel 30 fps HD video in MOV (i.e., MJPEG, also called AppleTalk) format from HD-or-better resolution webcams; that prerecorded HD video could be processed in Edit mode and then recorded as 30 fps MP4 video in Share mode. VideoStudio 2021 Ultimate incorporates MCL functionality directly into its Capture mode (earlier MCL separate apps are deleted during installation), and MCL has been rewritten to produce 1920*1080 pixel MP4-formatted video from HD-or-better resolution webcams. But the MCL-recorded MP4 video is flipped left-to-right (i.e., analog clocks appear to run backwards), and users encounter frame-rate speed problems because MCL coding utilizes your CPU without using your NVIDIA or AMD GPU: the new MCL produced 17 fps MP4-formatted HD video using my same webcam and desktop computer. I consider the video capture frame rate reduction and the left-to-right video horizontal flipping to be backward steps for Multicam Capture Lite and for VideoStudio 2021 Ultimate functionality (minus one star).

Im not able to effectively review a product that will not load on my computer. I have all the requirements on my computer, it should load...but it does not.

This is by far the worst performing video editor on the market. It is just a constant Crash Fest , plus each year they put out a new vwrsio,, which is just the same version from 5 years ago with one or two new aspects. If you really want to hate video editing experience, buy this product. Oh, I almost forgot, dont even think about calling tech support, most of them have never used this product and will only give you pre scripted assistance. This product is definitely a Thumbs Down.

I`m having difficulty with many of these video editors releases of new full versions that do not seem to have so many features added and instead a ton of templates and cookie cutter content. I also do not like the idea of switching GUI functions on the editor innovative because you must re-learn where everything is again. This makes the new version seem like a switched around skin update (of sorts). I was disappointed to see that I had the prior edition, and they were popping up in my notifications about buying this version for the same price. After trying it (extensively) I concluded that although Ultimate is a great editor, they are hardly trying to reinvent the wheel or too much more of the same old. It has not had any bugs or crashes as the prior versions (yet). People do not buy video editors so frequently unless it`s a budget youtuber and there are many free options like Openshot and others to counter this in almost every feature. So why get it? Well, if you are not familiar with their products, they are great for beginners because of ease of use, support very feature rich with many bells and whistles of much more expensive professional software. It has it all neatly organized with their easy on the eye layouts and their editor lets you get in the grain, while the effects and font selection of subtitles are not as difficult to use as others. Production time is cut dramatically, processing time is smooth too with everything right in front of you (once you get familiar with all the intimidating icons, sliders, fields and scrubber.

It wasnt compatible with my laptop and i already opened it to find this out. Very disappointed

I have better video editing apps. You cant do more than one thing on this at a time or it gets glitchy. You can add music to videos.

Thank heavens I downloaded the trial version. This program crashes constantly. I searched YouTube (lots of people with the same issue), and even tried some recommended fixes. I might have a good day, no crashes, and get some confidence in the product. Then the next day, the program closes itself. I have a fairly new computer, and keep up with my updates. Now Im trying to uninstall. I go through the Settings App, to Corel. If I chose uninstall, it defaults to repair. That is my only choice, repair or back. Ive moved on to Cyberlink Power director. As a Photoshop user, there is a bigger learning curve moving to Power Director, but it hasnt crashed in the two weeks Ive been using it. Still unable to uninstall Corel.
