> 3 dayPaint Shop Pro was the first graphics editor I ever used, and I still prefer it to Photoshop. Because of this, Ive been a fan of Corel since they took over PSP from Jasc, over 15 years ago. Still, before trying Video Studio Ultimate, Id never used a full function video editing software before. Unless you count Windows Movie Maker? The included library has a few images and video clips that you can use to start playing around with the software. There are sound effects, music tracks and more built in. I was able to create a short, simple video from scratch using the included goodies in about 30 minutes, even with no experience using the software and without using the tutorials, of which there are plenty. Sure, its not going to win any awards, but it shows the intuitiveness of the software. You can import from multiple sources, export to just as many, record directly from your computers webcam or an external camera, and theres a built in uploader for YouTube and Vimeo, for those looking to be internet famous. For the price, the functionality is superb. The perpetual license vs. a subscription is also incredible, especially with the current practice of making software rentable. I cant compare it to prior versions, but I can say that if you have a need to edit any video, this is superior to anything that comes on your computer or your phone, and anything youll find in an app store.

> 3 dayWhile I think this software has a lot going for it, I also think that theres some things that need improvement. For instance, when attempting to view the Training/Getting Started videos (online) theres a constant nag screen that comes up to upgrade to a paid membership (after a few trial days). Membership starts at $9.99/month (StudioBackLot) which appears almost dated-looking, to pricey for what it offers and isnt tempting enough for me to even consider. On a desktop with barely anything on it that could slow it down, the software opens up painfully sluggishly and takes a long time to fully load. I have some intensive Adobe Photoshop software that doesnt open this poorly on a separate and more heavily loaded desktop, so Im not sure what the issue is with this program. Once open, theres a lot going on (like most higher-end editing programs) and the learning curve is fairly large for those coming in to anything other than very basic photo/video editing. However, this software offers a lot of cool features not offered on my Adobe software. There are the basic video/audio editing tools but so much more that includes things such as face morphing, templates to use for special effects that go beyond the standard (compared to my non-Corel), The newer templates and editing tools would be very suitable for many of the more popular and trending apps and social media postings (or just adding a bit of extra flair to videos). Making a GIF is simplified with this program, and with solid video/photo and some audio editing tools, its a pretty nice fit for the newer (younger generation) content creators as well as more experienced older content creators or even just others (early intermediate users) like me looking to learn new things. What Im most bothered by is the very laggy loading time at startup as well as the hard push for subscribing to get the most out of this “Ultimate” version. Theres many paid add-ons that one could buy to make this software that one could incorporate for more personalized features, which is great provided one has the budget. Additionally, I like that this is a standalone, non-monthly paid software that offers much in the way of content editing, be it videos, photos or some audio. Ive not gotten past the learning curve portion to make great content yet, but if I can find free full-featured videos that dont require membership to speed up that process, Id feel more enthusiastic. Despite the afforementioned annoyances, this software offers a good amount, and if I could Id rate it 3.8 stars, but as it stand Im rounding up to 4. Thanks for reading.

> 3 dayUnfortunately this programming is so unstable that is almost completely unusable. I have enough memory in my machine that it should be able to run this perfectly fine. I dont believe it is my computer causing the issues and after reading other reviews it feels like it is the same. The only thing that you get in the box is a download code so there is no actual hard physical software that comes with us.

Greater than one weekPaid the $49.99 for the video editor ultimate. Really enjoyed the videos before making my purchase. As my career aligns with this type of no non sense updates and effects to stay modern is exciting to dive in to. Ill. keep this review relevant,up to date, personal use only opinion and worth it or... not? So far yes across the board.

> 3 dayI have used Corel products for decades, using Windows 11 and the latest updated product (this Ultimate 2022) it does what most of their products have done over the decades... if in doubt CRASH and disappear. First, it was set for PAL, which is the European standard, not American. Fixed that... used to crash just adding video to the DVD creator part of the program. Now I can put 3 files there, shows it will fit onto an 8.5 GB double layer disk... click on NEXT and Corel disappears off the screen... just like previous versions have done FAR TOO OFTEN. Its Super Flexible... it can fold itself into NOTHING AT ALL... No I do NOT recommend this Buggy Software.

> 3 dayVery disappointing! It will not download. Probably a ripoff like so many other purchases of video editing.

> 3 dayVideostudio is a decent choice for video editing. The price is very reasonable compared to Adobes subscription based plan. Like many others have pointed out, the advertising pop-ups are annoying, but can easily be removed by opening the program, clicking on help and clicking the notifications option. Ive noticed some are having problems downloading their software, believing that Corel is at fault. This is an Amazon issue. The link they send you in your email will not take you to your download. My guess is that it is just another way that Amazon tries to manipulate its customers by having them endlessly click links trying to find their download. In their minds, they probably hope youll run across something else you might want to buy, just like their search engine shows results that have nothing to do with what you searched for. To find your download, in the Amazon search bar, type digital software downloads library. At the top of the results, it should say your digital downloads. Click on that and it will take you to your software and activation key. Again, Videostudio is a decent piece of software and a good value for the price.
