You will need a SATA to USB cable to clone your existing drive to this one. Documentation includes a link to free cloning software. Worked fine, took about an hour to clone and 5 min to install. Coming from a traditional HDD the difference is definitely noticeable. Threw the old drive in the desk drawer and now I have ready to go backup. Highly recommended.

The excitement of SSD when they hit the market was a bit over blown so recognize this as a significant improvement but much less than the Holy Grail. Lightweight at about 20% of original HD weight adds another improvement and the fact you won’t scratch up your disks or encounter failure issues in higher altitudes while traveling in some states with over 10,000 feet locations. (HDs need air density to maintain stability) A great buy in comparison to original with larger data capacity & easier on the budget than new Laptops,

Easy Install

Drive is great but the downloadable cloning software cant see the drive type past the USB adapter so the software will not run. To unlock the software you have to pay $30. I guess the adapter Crucial would work but its $30 also. Maybe they shouldnt say the drive includes cloning software....
