Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

It fits my Lenovo Legion Y52015IKBM 80YY.

I was going to buy a new laptop since mine is 7 years old, but after monitoring the disk manager, the only performance holdup was disk read/write. So I installed this SSD and it performs great!

I ordered a 2tb drive to replace a dying HDD drive. When I received the drive I installed it, Initialised it in disk management and formated it to NTFS, everything went great.

Weve all had those instances where manufacturers give performance rating numbers with that magic asterisk *UP TO number. The up to number is never anything close to reality - you get those numbers in a brand new system when the moon is full and on the 29th day of February. I purchased this drive thinking that if I can get 80% of the number, Id be happy. Imagine my surprise when the numbers exceed the *up to figures.

Dont waste money on overpriced Samsung SSDs with slow QLC NAND when you can get equal or better quality from Micron. This is the 8th Micron (Crucial) drive that Ive purchased over the last year. Its 4TB of TLC NAND makes it a no-brainer. Made in Mexico in a new high quality facility. In my opinion, these drives just cant be beat for quality & reliability. I just wish that Micron would offer the MX500 in 8TB. Its most certainly technically possible for them to do and Im not sure whats stopping them.

I always shop around when I need a new drive, but Crucial always hits that spot where price and quality meet. I’m very happy with all the drives I have.

Great ssd at a good price. It offers great performance for gaming. It stays cool and never encountered issues so far.

Performance is great in laptop after installing this SSD and loaded Windows 10 in 15 year old laptop and taking 20-30 seconds for starting the laptop.

faster than normal HD, lighter, very good laptop response. had to format and install everything though.
