Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

I just bought an enclosure and this drive for Mac Mini to fee space on Mac Mini. Now lightning fast in all apps and write speed to drive is exceptional.

First I am not a computer expert. I have a ten year old PC and simply wanted to upgrade the RAM and old HDD drive to an SSD drive so my computer would be faster and I wouldnt have to buy a new PC. The drive appears to work but was a nightmare to get up and running. The cloning software DID NOT WORK. The cloning process was pretty straight forward from Crucial to download and use the automatic option to clone except it took 12 hours. Then when I started the computer I got an automatic repair screen that said that constantly came up and the computer would not boot up. I was able to get the computer to stop automatically applying the automatic repair and this is what came up next.

Install was simple...as with any SSD. However, when I downloaded the Crucial software to update the firmware, it refused to recognize the drive. Spent over a week exchanging emails with Crucials tech support...got nowhere. Finally returned the drive to Amazon. (disappointing to me because Ive been a Crucial customer for more than 2 decades.

Jai upgradé mon iMac de 2009 qui peinait énormément avec le disque dur dorigine et qui était très fatigué.

Ho installato mesi fa questo disco SSD sul pc tower che utilizzando per scrivere questa recensione e, fino ad ora, sono soddisfatto delle prestazioni e della durata del supporto. Considerato che anche prima avevo su SSD di marca che si è guastato improvvisamente senza preavviso e causando la perdita totale dei miei dati, vi consiglio vivamente di salvare con assiduità e completezza i vostri contenuti, indipendentemente dalla marca e modello del vostro disco: nessun costruttore vi potrà mai assicurare con assoluta certezza che il disco non si guasterà mai!

La compu de mi hija estaba muy lenta y cuando tenía que tomar sus clases y exámenes online le costa mucho por hacer todo a tiempo. Luego de haberle instalado la tarjeta de memoria a la laptop todos los problemas de velocidad se reolavieron. 100% Recomendada!

Should be plug and play on my old Windows 10 Dell, but my machine doesnt see it. for some reason. May be a wetware issue, so Im not returning it.
