> 3 dayOn receipt, I installed this 4 TB drive in an NexStar NX 3.0 enclosure. I formatted the drive (quick format) and the drive was detectable and usable. Loading backup files however didnt go smoothly. The drive would hang for about 10 minutes until Windows said there was an issue. So, I ran a low-level format -took forever- and the drive started working. For one day. Then it would hang again. Chasing this issue through the Crucial website, I started looking for firmware issues and any updates they may have. Lo and behold there was an update to the firmware (M3CR046) that had a note that it was a minor update to solve an issue with the drive hanging. The drive seems to be working now, but I have not developed confidence in the drive to use is as a backup for important data. Ill give it a few months to see how it is working and either increase the rating or decrease it if issues persist.

> 3 dayI had no problem with the installation. Boot-up time is really quick and the laptop is no longer hanging up as it did with previously installed SATA HDD. Would definitely buy this brand again.

> 3 dayThis might have been a good hard drive. Ill never know because the cloning software didnt work. I tried it twice and got a failure message both times.

Greater than one weekInstalled in a 2007 iMac, along with some memory, and the computer is quite quick, especially on startup. I did this in 2020. I have a great terminal for the internet, and some ROBLOX

> 3 dayTake awhile to store the the information in the sdd not sure way, as there is two steps for storing the data.

> 3 dayIf your computer is about 5 years old and has a HDD replace it with one of these and it feels like new. Crucial even offers the Acronis software to easily clone you HDD to their SSD. The SSD itself is a great, quality product from Crucial.

Greater than one weekSSD drives are worth it for the speed alone. Our work stations save documents to a server. Otherwise we would have bought the 1 TB drive. Our son put a Crucial 1 TB SSD drive on his gaming machine. Next our Servers will be upgraded to Crucial SSD drives. Why Crucial? Rock solid reliability. Even though our drives are imaged weekly and backed up on the fly we want reliability to avoid downtime.

> 3 dayI have installed and used many Crucial drives 1T and various other SSD sizes. They are great drives, very easy to install with good literature to assist and usually include cloning software as well download from their website. Their website is also very good at finding the right SSD & Memory as well. Highly recommend them and have purchased them for many friends and families and help install. thumbs up all the way as their speed might be little less but cost wise they are great and their speed beats standard drives. :-)
