Darn Tough Modern

Darn Tough are the only socks I have owned for the last 3 years. I wear them for work ( power lineman), everyday wear, horseback riding, and hunting. I even own some of their ankle socks for summer wear with shorts. My other darn tough socks are the mid calf Standard Issue Cushioned Crew item #1474. I was glad to see they came out with a simular sock that was over the calf so I bought these in medium size as I wear a 9.5 and thats what the size chart recommended. The sock fits great on the foot but the calf portion actually goes over my knee. So I just fold the top down about 3. They fit great otherwise and actually stay up as I have small calf and other socks always slide down. My other Darn Tough socks never shrank and held up really great so I suspect these socks to be the same. I will buy more but will try a size smaller. Its really hard to find a wool sock thats over the calf and also standard thickness like a plain old cotton sock.

Never thought I would spend this much on a pair of socks. Well worth it. They do not slip down at all, through a full days work. Wear them for 2 days and they still smell fresh. Warm and comfortable. My brother recommended them to me, and now I will recommend them to anyone else.

Best work socks I’ve ever owned

These are horrible. The cuff at the to is so tight it was making my foot swell up. The socks caused me terrible pain. Dont buy these if you value your feet.

These are good socks. Comfortable and keep my feet warm out in the cold. Probably would be too warm for everyday wear.

They are a little thinner than what normally prefer, but they are very comfortable to wear and I will likely be getting a few more. They stay up and dont roll.

This is one of the best boot socks Ive ever owned, I like them just as much if not better than my Dan Post western socks. I like them because theyre thin enough they dont add any gerth to my foot which if you have a bigger foot you know is a problem but are thick enough to keep your foot protected. They work very well in traditional or lineman work boots they also stay up over your calf in western boots, and at the end of the day my feet ar nice and dry which adds to the comfort.
