> 3 dayI do not do very much hiking or work but I wanted some great durable socks. People rave about these socks constantly. I purchased them and they felt okay but after a few months of wearing them once or twice a week, they have a hole. Not sure what happened but I will be utilizing the warranty. Not worth 18 bucks.

> 3 dayThese socks were great on a recent 6 day backpack trip. Got soaking wet during a thunder storm in the Sierras, but being a wool blend, kept my feet warm and dried out quickly the next day while wearing them. Despite being wet, they held their shape and didnt break down at all. After being washed, the look just like new. Cant go wrong with these socks.

> 3 dayThese were highly recommended by a friend who loves the outdoor experience. They have met expectation in every way. Expensive but seem to be well worth the cost.

19-11-2024Bought 4 pairs. Daily rotation for 6plus months now. If I had them pressed and stuck them back in the packaging, you wouldn’t be able to tell they were not brand new. Well worth the extra money. These socks last.

> 3 dayI was looking forward to my first pair of darn tough socks, based on the good reviews, however, I was a little bummed, when they were too small and had a rub spit on the back of heel. The size chart shows that a medium is for sizes 8-9.5 mens. I wear a size 8.5-9 mens shoe depending on the style, but never a 9.5. My feet are also normal standard width. I do not have wide feet. I ordered medium based on the chart provided by seller. These socks are way too small and tight on my feet. There is no way these are ment for size 9 which is in the middle of the range, no way. The size for medium in my opinion would be 7.5-8 mens. They really should be more accurate on the size chart. Or maybe I got a bad batch. But, they are tight on my feet. Also, the cushion area inside the sock is a little short on the backside of the heel. I can feel the seam rubbing on my Achilles heel. The cushioned area should be at least an inch higher for comfort. The construction of the sock looks and feels like it would be durable, but I wont be wearing them to find out. Bummer. I was hopeful based on good reviews and thought Id order one pair to try out before ordering 6 pairs for a 50 mile backpacking trip. So, I now have a $18 pair of socks that arent comfortable for me to wear.

> 3 dayOrdered two pairs of these (two diff colors) in what was supposed to be size M. Received items in a plastic bag WITHOUT the original packaging. Socks looked big but figured maybe they were supposed to shrink in the wash/dryer. Well they didn’t, and the socks are clearly size large. I’ve already washed them so can’t return them. If you order these, make SURE you get the original packaging to confirm you have received the correct size.

> 3 dayIve worn them in 100 degree weather and full humidity in the jungles of africa, on sidewalks in 40 degree weather in the USA without shoes, and with sandals when it is raining instead of pretty much any other kind of shoe (other than rain boots). When it is hot, they wick sweat away and keep your feet cool. When cold, they dont transfer heat from any surface- almost as good as slippers. When wet, they still dont transfer heat and dry on your feet. I wear them every day and they never smell, even when I wash them only every 2 weeks or so. They are soft, super roomy in the toes, cushioned, and dont constrict and leave marks on your ankles. The right color combinations make them appropriate for formal wear as much for hiking- in both cases, severely reduces blisters. I seriously dont understand why people DONT wear these socks. I wear through them usually every 6-8 months and always buy new ones because I want to support this company! BEST SOCKS EVER. (btw... you should NOT put them in the dryer. They will dry on their own in an hour, even quicker if you put them on. You shouldnt wash them after one use either- this is wool and the washer will break down the fibers quicker.)
