Greater than one weekHad a problem with actuator, contacted ECO by email. Company sent me a replacement in short order. Product works great. It is a real pleasure dealing with a quality company. Will definitely deal with them again!

> 3 dayGenerallly this works OK, and meets its specs. However, the machining of the mounting pin holes is shockingly bad. Ordinary good manufacturing practices produce products with better tolerances than a hobbyist machine shop can. This is much worse than hobbyist machining level. The pin hole (at the motor end) is not perpendicular to the rod, which can be checked by mounting the actuator in one position (eg. motor facing east), and then remounting it after rotating it 180 degrees. On mine, the difference in rod end position was about 1.5 inches, meaning that the hole was drilled a couple degrees from perpendicular. Some hand filing with a rat tail file trued mine up enough to prevent binding, but of course, the hole is no longer round or straight. Suggested improvements: stainless steel anchor brackets and pins to make it more suitable for use outdoors. And, of course, standard machining.

> 3 dayWorked fine until temps dipped below freezing. It is mounted under chicken nesting boxes set deep inside the coop, out of the weather. Freezes every time below 32 degrees. That was the whole point in purchasing, so I could open from my phone in freezing weather. Complete fail!

> 3 dayUsed this actuator to control a pivot on a project. First, the actuator is extremely slow operating. Second, it snapped off the rear mounting ear (on the motor housing) on the first use. Its made from extremely cheap cast aluminum and the second it got tweaked, it snapped clean off. Not sure of the actual force limit of this item because the design failed before I could really test the force limits of the unit. Maybe I torqued the actuator across an axis I didnt think I was, but this shouldnt be a failure point given the rating of the actuator.

> 3 dayBought this for a router lift. Works perfect. Extends fairly quick, about as fast as I can manage anyway. Lifts the 35 pound load with just 10 watts of power (.8 amp). So far the quality seems great, time will tell. Unit seems well sealed so I dont expect any problems with dust and no water as it is an inside application. Very pleased with the speed. A++
