Very nice well made tarp. I bought the 15x15 version. If you intend to use the 15x15 for backpacking, know this, it is rather heavy.

Man this thing is heavy duty, doesnt break the bank, and worked well for a couple weeks in the field. IMO, this tarp is perfectly suited to trust and use in the field - it is a little heavier than some may want to backpack with, but if your bushcrafting or car camping its a go to.

This tarp is the best I have seen yet. Very rugged perfect size for all types of configurations. Has tabs not cheap aluminum rings to rip out. Best of all has tabs in center of tarp for hanging center from tree. Worth every penny. 5 stars as always. Bill

I REALLY LIKE IT. I BOUGHT THE 10 BY 13 DEFENDER AQUA QUEST. IT IS NOT FOR A LIGHT WEIGHT BACK PACKER BECAUSE IT WEIGHS 4 LBS. BUT IF YOU DONT MIND CARRYING THE EXTRA WEIGHT IT IS A VERY RELIABLE WATER PROOF 4 SEASON TARP. GOOD QUALITY FOR THE MONEY. BUT I AM NOT A LIGHT WEIGHT BACK PACKER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TARP. TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR GOOD QUALITY AND DEPENDABILITY.

Picked up this tarp to make a quick rain shelter for when it rains hard or snows so that my dogs will actually go outside. So far we have had some strong winds and storms and it’s help up pretty well.

Nobody buys a defender series tarp for its light weight, thats not the point of the defender line. They are extremely tough and insanely waterproof, thats why you buy them. I use my 10x13 defender tarp for car camping, where weight isnt an issue. This tarp will stand up to any condition. I have a safari tarp for when weight and bulk matter. If you want the top of the line, heavy duty tarp, you want a defender tarp.
