This tarp is much Stronger than traditional ultralight tarps. Since everyone is so he’ll bent in survival skills this tarp can withstand cold, heat and bad conditions. Not spark proof but can do the job for sheltering in bad conditions. SEMPER FI

We got caught in 2 days of rain while camping. Not only did it pour out for several hours, but it was very windy too. No leaks, no tears...zero problems. We will be buying a second one next!

If youve ever used shelter tarps then you know they will either last or they wont. I can say without reservation that this is an extremely tough & durable tarp with the right amount of added sewn straps. Slightly heavy if backpacking but worth the extra weight, IMO.

Nobody buys a defender series tarp for its light weight, thats not the point of the defender line. They are extremely tough and insanely waterproof, thats why you buy them. I use my 10x13 defender tarp for car camping, where weight isnt an issue. This tarp will stand up to any condition. I have a safari tarp for when weight and bulk matter. If you want the top of the line, heavy duty tarp, you want a defender tarp.

Hi All, to begin I would like to say I am still out testing this tarp it is the 15x15 camo tarp, but it has its flaws and could be much better. Aqua Quest if you read this please, please take this to heart and I hope you can please look into making changes to this soon. where to start, #1 the loop tie outs on this are extremely big they do not need to be as big as they are, these loops are over 3 inches long and do not stay on steaks in the ground. #2 there need to be way more tie outs all the way around this tarp edge to edge and across the entire tarp side to side. 4 tie outs on each side is not near enough. from corner to corner there needs to be 5 tie outs across the tarp on all 4 sides then add 5 tie outs across the face of the tarp across from each tie out around the edge for a total tie out count of 25 tie loops. I have 2 tarps I use depending on the situation, my 13x13 wildventure green tarp its actually mustard yellow in color but whatever, it has 25 tie outs on it and its able to be made into a tent shape better than the aqua quest camo 15x15 tarp. as shown in the pics they are both setup in tent style, the camo with 4 tie out and the green one with 5 tie outs, both are waterproof but the wildventure one is about 2ft smaller and is able to fit in the bottom of my pack it rolls up extremely small the Aqua Quest is huge, and it rolls up into a stuff sack about 14 inches thick about 18 inches long and weighs roughly 15lbs on my scale this thing is extremely heavy and not able to be put in a pack. this tarp they claim can be setup in multiple ways which yes it could, if it had the proper number of tie outs and came with the proper amount of steaks and tie out cords. you will need to buy a rope to use as a ridgeline, paracord wont cut it, it stretches. also you will need to buy steaks, and tie out cords to use with it as it does not come with any. other than that I have zero complaints so far about the tarp but I am still testing it out and will be back after my 1yr use I am now 9 months into using it so stay tuned, all I can say is this tarp would be more used if you are car camping and not using a pack but more to come after my 1 yr of use.

The manufacturers of all tarps, cut the fabric to the correct size listed, however... after folding over the edge material and stitching the edges, you lose some real estate off the cut size, why do they do this? I dont know, but it is the way it is, and youre just going to have to accept it. I see so many people who think they are getting screwed, but thats not the case. I thought the same thing on my first tarp.

Its a tarp. One of the most versitile and useful things you can have. Water no go in, water no go out. Two thumbs up, all 5 stars, would recomend for tarping needs.

Nothing more to say, and the last tarp I’ll buy for camping. The quality and durability is beyond expectations.
