> 3 dayIve always LOVED Dell Desktop computers. Ive had several throughout many years. But Id never heard anything about Dell laptops. Knowing that Dell makes the best desktops (in my opinion!), I decided to try the laptop. I couldnt believe how fast I fell in love with this laptop. Ive had it for over a month now, using it for several hours each day & I have only found 2 problems with it: The color on the display is dull. Not the correct colors. I mean, I dont know the technical terms for all this, but it seems like the coloring that the display shows, is of low quality. It isnt HDR so its kind of upsetting. I like to have brilliant color. The 2nd problem is the keyboard. The keys are cramped together so its hard for me to type because I have big fingers. I usually type 95 wpm but on this keyboard I make so many mistakes that its like I cant type at all!! Id like the keys more spread out. All laptops seem to have cramped keys, but this one is worse. But, even with those 2 annoyances, I LOVE THIS DELL LAPTOP!!! The price for it was unbelievable! Im only going to buy Dells from now on. The customer service is Old School, which means they care. I will add to this in a couple of months so you can see that I will still love my Dell!! January 22, 2022 - Ive had my Dell for almost 5 months now. Like I said, I STILL LOVE MY DELL!! Im getting used to the keys a little bit but I bought a keyboard & attached it to my laptop & it works great. Like I said in my earlier review, Dells are the best desktop computers, & now I can honestly say that they make the best laptops too. Its worth it to spend a little more because youll have your Dell for WAY longer than any other brand. Soooooo, to sum it all up, I LOVE MY DELL LAPTOP!!! LOLOL

> 3 dayAs expected. It is fantastic! Light weight and well made. It performs smooth and quietly. We just needed a laptop for day to day office work and we had a small budget. The price was unbelievable and the performance has my two tombs up. The delivery was made way ahead of time, the package was well wrapped and padded. Wow! Thank you.

> 3 daySeems like a downgrade from a 10 year old i5 laptop. Windows 11 is sluggish and Edge keeps popping up “page is unresponsive” messages. Edge has so many background widgets running this Celeron processor can’t even keep up with the MSN screen. Should have sent this back after seeing the initial slow load speed. Regretting saving a few bucks, now feels like money down the drain. Just because it will run Windows 11 doesnt mean it should.

Greater than one weekThe Dell model 3583 is specified (Dell Specs p.12) with an 8th generation Intel core i3, i5, or i7 CPU. I suspect due to the chip shortage Dell was forced to dive into the ol parts bin and ship this particular 3583 with an older - and MUCH lower specs - Pentium Gold 5th generation CPU with limited cache. To try to compensate, Dell also shipped this unit with a M.2 SSD rather than the specd spinning HDD. That was very good of them. But the mis-match seems to be creating some lag in getting things done, although not critical. I may (probably) be wrong about this, but then Im not a computer whiz. It would be great if Dell eventually tracked this order and in future shipped us a comparable Core i3 CPU with a realistic cache. Hey, I can dream! In addition - 3583 comes specd with Win 10 Home (not S mode). S mode sucks and the time it takes to dump it is a pain. 2cts.
