> 3 dayI bought this for my home office and I love it!! It has great picture quality and is bright. I used to be obsessed with LG monitors but this takes the cake. The fact that it moves up and down and I can rotate it to be vertical is even better. I will be purchasing another one.

Greater than one weekThis is a great entry/mid level monitor. I have no issues with this and like that it the monitor swivels both left and right and and be positioned vertically. The image quality and responsiveness is extremely quick with no glitches. I use this as an extended monitor display for work and for personal use in photography, surfing the web, working in Excel and its great. Not flimsy at all, the stand is functional and stylish which does not make it an eye sore.

Greater than one weekNo USB ports and even an HDMI-USB adapter does not work with this monitor. It claims there is no HDMI connection detected and no display is shown. Very disappointing

Greater than one weekThis is clearly not a top of the line monitor, nor is it advertised as such. Theres not much in the way of bells and whistles, but it does the basic job of being a solid monitor at a good price. Ive had it a little over a year and had no troubles with it. If it dies on me before the five year mark, Ill see if I can remember to come back here and add that little tidbit. So far, so good.

> 3 dayThis 24” offering from Dell is another step in the direction they take every year, with very slight improvements each time. While it does have a 75Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync, there is nothing especially spectacular about this monitor. Its features include: • 75Hz refresh rate • AMD FreeSync • 4ms response time • IPS panel with matte antiglare • Near-edgeless design • VESA 100 mounting compatible • Adjustable stand allows for pan, tilt, height, and rotation Color usage on this monitor is very good due to the IPS display. The matte antiglare screen dumbs the colors slightly, but it still looks good. The near-edgeless display is nice, and the back of the monitor is pretty stylish. It is VESA 100 capable, which is a huge plus. The 75Hz refresh rate has been common in Dell monitors for years, and this is no exception. The inclusion of FreeSync is very much welcome, but beyond that, this is roughly the same monitor they put out last year, and the year before. It’s good, but offers very little image customization options beyond a helpful blue-light filter and some presets. The best thing about this specific monitor is the adjustable stand (which is optional). The stand is not only sturdy, it is also elegant. It allows for side-to-side panning, up & down tilting, height adjustment, and 90-degree rotation, which puts the monitor in portrait mode. It’s simple, it’s attractive, and it works very well. I also want to go over some of the negative aspects of this monitor. The screen’s maximum brightness is a paltry 250 nits. As a result, the contrast between light and dark elements is weak, and the screen may not get as bright as you might expect (though I have no complaints). This also means that HDR is not supported. There are no built-in speakers on this model either – for clarity, I received the S2421HS with adjustable stand. The monitor also has a poor viewing angle, but that is a fault of most IPS panels in general. Lastly, it is thicker than I expected, with a curved back that is thickest in the middle and thinnest near the edges. There is no shortage of 1080p monitors targeting the office/home office demographic, so a monitor either needs to stand out, or have already been a household name beforehand. This monitor unfortunately does not stand out from the pack, though it is attractive. With that said, it is a Dell product, and if Dell is anything, they are reliably consistent. That’s what you get with the S2421HS – a reliable, consistent, small step up from last year’s model. A no frills monitor that gets the job done. Therefore, I do recommend it, but not at its current price.

Greater than one weekFrankly, not much of a review of the screen itself because its perfect. Might as well be a photograph. I do note the viewing angle is so wide that it has no color or picture shifting even when you look at it totally from the side edge on. I do stream video sometime on it (Amazon Prime Video, NetFlix, etc.) and I might as well be watching a TV. I Dont use it for gaming (I dont do shot em ups or GTA stuff) so cant comment about that. Specs look good, but gamers are super hard core about bleeding, ghosting, etc. so no opinion there. I will say that blacks are very black, which is good, not the funky dark brown/green/blotchy/yuk stuff. I had a SE2717H (prior model of this one) that died after being on 24/7 for over two years. My other SE2717H is going strong and right next to this one. Picture is awesome, I love the IPS screen and I can work all day on it with no eye strain. IPS is all I buy anymore for myself or recommend to others. There are slightly better technologies out there now, but not for the money, especially MY money.

> 3 dayIf you are into gaming or content creation, this is not the monitor for you. If you are a casual computer user and just need a reasonable monitor for your day-to-day emails and social media, look no further.
